Product Customer Reviews

I wanted to buy this bag for a very long time, I bought it to go on a big road trip of 6 months, after a week one of the two straps that hold the bag broke. I am in a city where there is no decathlon and I will have to use this one for weeks before I find one....... disappointed for the first time in decathlon.
I took this backpack with me around South East Asia for 3 months. All of its features were perfect for the job; the 10L detachable pouch is great for daytrips (it has 3 different sections within so easy to organise), lockable zips were great for shared hostels, there were loads of mesh pockets and hooks inside the compartments, the huge opening is a must it is way more suited than the normal top entry on backpacks for travelling and there is an entire compartment for shoes at the bottom which can also be opened through to the main compartment for more room. The build quality is really good for the price with it having tougher material on the back and bottom to prevent tears, straps are comfortable to wear for hours at a time and you couldn't get much more strap adjustment on a backpack really. Overall really good for the price. A side note this backpack it is actually 50L + 10L because of the top section so i consider it a 60L backpack. However if I were to choose again I would get the bigger 70L version (which again is actually 70L + 10L) because for a little bit extra the bigger size is way more practical for use back in the uk plus it means you can bring extra bits back home with you. For me (an averaged size guy) the 70L size wouldn't be inconvenience at all travelling around busy cities so Id consider the 70L too although the 60L is perfect if youre not interested in any of that.
Remove attached valuables bag and tuck shoulder straps inside the back support pouch. Don't overpack and you can takeaboard an easy jet flight as hand luggage. I know, I tried it. Let's see if O'Leary jet (Ryanair) allows it as a flight bag in the same way. Very impressed with fit, comfort, attachments, style and versatility. Get one it has great potential for most modern day trekkers.
Great backpack - lockable zips very handy when travelling
Lots of great well thought out features with brilliant placement of strappings for keeping everything locked down and in place, and that means internal as well as external strappings. Love the accessibility into each compartment and the fact that the top pocket is removable so you have a little day pouch to carry valuables etc. The storm cover is really well made and tough. The comfort is the best of any pack I've had. Simply amazing value, top quality product.
I recently started the camino de Santiago, a trek of over 520 miles, I wanted a lockable, 50lt rucksack, as i was staying in hostels, but was durable enough to with stand the journey. The biggest plus for this rucksack, is the way it opens, like a suitcase. This allows full access, to save rummaging around, for items at the bottom. This further allowed for the rucksack to be properly packed, as I was doing on average 20 miles a day, & nothing is worse than having to stop half way thru the day, to re-pack your rucksack. The side pockets easily held a 1 litre water bottle, & it was easier enough to remove it, without taking the rucksack off. It was so easy to adjust the straps, whilst wearing, & the waist strap, helped take the weight off the shoulders. If your planning a long hike, over different terrain, I would recommend this.
Bought this (online from Decathlon Australia and delivered to NZ) for 2-3 day tramps/hikes and overnight business trips. It delivers. Access is good, there's a multitude of pockets and it's comfortable to carry. The only think I would ask for would be strap cover to hide/contain the shoulder and waist straps when not carrying the pack (i.e. when checking it in for flights). The lid/man-bag is useful for taking as small cabin baggage when the rest of the pack is checked-in, and is big enough to hold my tablet .
This is a well-made versatile backpack, comfortable with easy multiple adjustments. Excellent value for money.
Bit little heavy wait for long trek
Cons: If you are looking for light weight bag then it is not for you. The weight of bag itself is up-to 2-3 kg. If you are looking for daily use than this bag is not for you Pros: This bag is very good for trekking, hiking and travelling. The quality of the material used is very good. The chains are very solid and durable. It have a variety of compartments of different sizes, in total it have 7 different compartments. You can adjust your bag into different ways up - down, forward - backward. Best part of this bag is that it have one small bag which is on the top of this bag which is detachable and can be served as a side bag. You can put around 2-3 jackets in this small bag.
In lower strip should be both side pocket
This rucksack is good in terms of build quality and usability. The upper part can be detached and used as sling bag and it doesn't look like a detached part of something at all. There are plenty of hooks and securing areas every where. I have previously explored premium Rucksacks brands like 'Wolf skin' and other which are at least thrice the price of this Trekking backpack. Great work by Decathlon team
Really cool bag
Performance as told
Pros: The best part of this bag is its space management. I have had other bags of a similar size that had a somewhat sub-par space management. The bag has a big main pocket large enough for me to keep my books -- something that is important to me as a student. The main compartment also has an inner pocket big enough for a 15 in laptop but not enough for a 17 in one. Its main compartment also has some more meshed inner pockets for keeping your cables i.e. laptop charger etc. Other than the main compartment, there are two other pockets as well, one of which is big enough to carry food etc. (I prefer keeping food and books separate, for obvious reasons). The other pocket is also appropriately sized for keeping something else you'd like (medicines, glasses etc.). It also has two vertical pockets, which are deep enough to keep a 1.0-1.5L thermos flask. If I keep my water bottles in the side mesh pockets, they keep falling off whenever I bend down to, let's say, tie my shoelaces. This also leaves my side mesh pockets free for other things. It has a raincover at the bottom which doubles up as a 30L bag as well (great!) but I do not understand why the rain cover compartment is not zipped and is closed only by a Velcro. The hipbelt pocket provide easy access to keys, a sanitiser bottle etc. Cons: Lack of a top pocket for phone, wallet etc. But the another pocket in front with a side zipper does provide an easy access to your wallet/phone, but a top pocket would nonetheless have been better. The back support is pretty good, but could have been better. It is better than my previous Wildcraft bag, but ain't better than an Osprey Radial 27 bag I had.

How to fill my bag for optimal comfort?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Near your back, place heavy equipment (tent, stove, food). Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent under the bag if there’s no space inside. Keep a waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, place small items for the day (sunscreen, map, glasses...). The water bladder can be placed in the compartment generally provided down the back.
The easyfit system
This intuitive patented system allows you to adjust your bag to suit your body shape, in a single step, without having to remove it: for maximum comfort.
How to adjust your backpack?
To start, LOOSEN all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjusters). Then, put the bag on and PLACE THE BELT ON THE HIPS (it must cover the pelvic bones around the hips) to TIGHTEN. Finally, PULL THE EASYFIT TOGGLES and the shoulder strap block should position itself around your shoulders. Finally, just ADJUST THE LOAD ADJUSTERS to get the perfect fit for your back.
Tests carried out by our research and development departments on the efficiency of the easyfit system
User-friendly design: effective adjustment time 2.3 times shorter with the Easyfit backpack; and number of times you have to readjust = 0 for the Easyfit bag. Does not affect the quality of adjustment compared to a bag with standard adjustment: EasyFit was rated significantly more comfortable in the Friedmann statistical test, 4%; with 6 times as many backpacks correctly adjusted.
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty the balls into a graduated container, which gives us the equivalent volume in liters, with a tolerance of a few percent. The empty weight shown is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental footprint is calculated over its entire lifespan using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

This special 10-year warranty will only be granted upon presentation of the receipt and the product. If the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged, free of charge. This sales warranty does not affect the statutory rights applicable in your country and/or state.

Product testing
Using laboratory and field tests, we check the bag's resistance to abrasion and tearing, its colorfastness to UV light and washing, and its waterproofing. Then a mannequin replicates the aging of the loaded bag over a number of years by simulating thousands of fast-moving walking movements to check the resistance of the assemblies. The components (fabrics, buckles, straps, foam padding, zippers, etc) are also tested separately to guarantee these bags over a period of 10 years.
Storage instructions
Store your bag in a dry, ventilated place away from direct light.
