Product Customer Reviews

I went to to decathlon to buy a wetsuit and I was struggling to get my size the staff were very helpful and told me to try online , I went online with my phone in store and got a triathlon wetsuit and it's absolutely brilliant , instead of paying the £100 I paid £60 and got it delivered the next day. How brilliant is that. Thank you very much to the staff at decathlon
I'm 189cm, 86kg - with the chest and waist measurements suggesting I get a Medium. I ordered a Large, however this was too small. However, the XL is perfect for me. The zip is also easy to do up when the suit is the right size. Haven't used it in the water yet, however will update this review if required.
Fitted well but unfortunately the Neoprene on the leg has ripped only after a few uses.
Bought for an open water swim in a triathlon. Tried it in my first open water swim in a uk lake in early June. It fits well and as expected. Although the reversed zip on the back is a little awkward at first, it undoes very easily making it easy to remove the suit, but I have yet to master the art. The suit kept me warm in water of about 15 degrees, and is reasonably easier to swim in, being buoyant and flexible. I found it good value, although after one use I can’t comment on its longevity.
Used three tines in first week. Ligjt flexible and keeps me warm enough in the sea around Ayrshire. Good 30 minutes activity with boots and gloves. I admit the zip makes it a two persin job to zip up. But no hassle taking off by myself.
Whoever invented this zip wants throwing overboard. Returned.
Ordered a Medium Adult suit, it has arrived and honestly would struggle to fit a small child. My mum is a very slim 5ft4in lady and she made it look big. Also slightly damaged. Will be getting full refund. Having read other comments, do I dare try another size...
Hi Greg,
I am sorry to hear the size wasn't correct. I will pass this info to the product managers. Do not hesitate to try another size and use our free returns service if needed.

good value for money wetsuit Fast service and quick refund on returns (ordered the wrong size!)
First of all I must have read over all other reviews so many times as I was very worried about the below 2 points 1. Size 2. Reverse Zipper End the end I went for it and placed an order. Suit arrived in less than 2 days and my my finding on my two points above are as follows. 1. Size I am normally a medium and after reading the reviews I ordered one size up, a large. For me this fits perfectly and would no doubt feel the medium would have been way too samll. So my advice is go one size up! 2. Reverse Zipper Ok, so there is mixed reviews on this and I must say it took my about 10mins to nail it down but in the end I got it and have to agree that undoing it is super easy and quick so in a race it would defo help. However, if you are not very flexible I would say you may struggle getting the zipper done up on your own but if you always swim with a buddy then no issues at all. Overall I am very happy with this suit, very comfortable and water temp to date was just below around 13.8c and was fine. For the money this really is a great buy
Exactly what I asked for
A bit snug (bought medium for a 40 inch chest, would go for large) and not convinced about the upside-down zip. Very fragile too, but all in all, fair for the price.
I can't comment on the quality of the suit since the sizes are just plain odd. According to the guide I need an M but I couldn't even close it over my shoulders. Ordered an L online and, while I can at least zip this one up, it's clearly way too short. I won't bother trying the next size up!
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time to review this wetsuit. I will follow up the reviews to understand if our sizing recommendations aren't correct.

I bought this as my wetsuit was stuck abroad after my Ironman got cancelled so wanted something just for training in, This wetsuit ticks every box, easy to get on and off, great fit, very comfy to swim in, got a PB over 2k distance. Will be wearing this for my Ironman now as I prefer it to my orca. The process is unbelievable for the product you receive. Wont be bother wasting my money in future will be buying a spare if in sale at end of season.
second suit to be checked on arrival and found to be defective really disappointed I expect a full refund for the initial cost plus the cost of two returns
Hi Peter,
Sorry to hear, the product wasn't right at arrival. Please reply to me in private message to follow up this issue.
Regards,
Adrian
The suit feels good and is easier than people make out to get on, the inverted zip makes so much sense. I'm glad I ordered a size up.

How to choose the right size of suit
It's just as important to choose the right size of neoprene suit as it is too choose the right model. The neoprene suit should be worn just like a 2nd skin without feeling oppressive and should provide you with freedom of movement. We designed this Aptonia SD suit with slightly shortened cuffs to make it easier to take off.
Why wear a neoprene suit for a triathlon?
Depending on the water temperature, wearing a neoprene suit for a triathlon is: - Compulsory if the water temperature is below 61°F - Authorized if the water temperature is between 61 and 75°F - Banned if the water temperature is equal to or over 72°F
Is there any point in wearing my neoprene suit if it's not obligatory?
Yes, yes, and yes! A neoprene suit provides more buoyancy and helps you glide, as well as keeping you warm. Depending on your swimming level, you can generally expect to reduce your time by between 1 min 30 and 3 minutes over a distance of 1,000 m. So it will be a precious help even over short distances!
Which swimming stroke can you use with the neoprene suit?
In the triathlon, the most-used swimming stroke is the front crawl because it is the most effective, but also the most efficient for saving your legs for the cycling and running portions. However, particularly when you start out, athletes often choose the breaststroke for more reassurance. The Aptonia SD suit has the flexibility and horizontality to allow you to swim both strokes and thus provide you with complete serenity
Why is the zipper on this trifunction suit inverted?
We chose an inverted zipper, so it's easy to get out of your trifunction suit for your first transition. Easy to take off with a natural upward movement. The inverted direction also prevents your zipper from being "unintentionally" opened by other competitors during the swim phase.
