Sizing guide is innacurrate

Sizing guide is inaccurate, It's for way shorter people than in guide. Order at least one size up from what the sizing guide recommends. Cannot exchange online purchases so you get charged a returning fee on top of having to pay to ship it back. Very dissapointing. Le guide pour grosseur est terrible, acheter une grandeur plus gros que le guide reccomende.

Hello Jason,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry the wetsuit is not the right fit for you. There is indeed a 8$+tx fee to return an item, however note that this is the only fee there is, at the fee include a return label with Canada Post.

You can always return for free in any of our store in Canada. As a member, you have 365 days to do your return.

Have a good day,

Great fit

Ease of getting on and off, a good fit and keeping warm. Much prefer the shorty version as like kegs and arms to be free

Lack of Changing Facilities

Due to lack of changing facilities at the shop, I was unable to try on the wetsuit described as medium. It was way too small, so I will need to return it to the shop

Great value shorty

I use this for open water swimming, reduces initial cold water shock and I can swim crawl and breastroke easily.

Very lightweight. Runs Small.

Really nice suit - very lightweight & suitable for warmer waters. But make sure you order a size up. I ordered my usual size and had to return it for the next size.

Order a size up!

Followed the sizing guide and it was way too tight. Go one size up. Quality is good though

Very small

Good quality but very small fitting

Typical Decathlon sizing

I love Decathlon and have bought equipment for many years. But clothing is nearly always a no no. The sizing is very European? and often a very strange fit or no fit as is often the case. The recent resizing made it worse. It’s exactly the same for your kids clothes. Its bizarre. This wetsuit is that weird fit. Im 6’1, broad 44” chest and with cyclist/rugby thighs. Ie. Not uncommon and fairly average UK male size. I bought XXL. The body is ok. The arms are too tight. I don't work out but if I did there is no chance. The legs are too tight. Would not size up on a 2mm suit as too stretchy So. Not unexpected. But annoying. Yet I could go get a Rip Curl or Billabong XL and it would fit perfectly. Come on Decathlon!! Sort it out.

Great wetsuit

Excellent product at an unbelievable price

Does the job

My chest size is at the low end of the guide range and this wet suit is a slightly tight fit on me. Not uncomfortable, but if I was at the upper end it might be.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 1)

The first selection criterion when choosing a surfing wetsuit is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 45 and 54°F. Visit the site to find out the temperature of your spot.

How to choose the right wetsuit (part 2)

The 2nd criterion to take into account is the length of your sessions. If your sessions last less than an hour, the 100 models will be suitable. For up to 2 hours, opt for the 500 models and for up to 3 hours, the 900 models. Compared to the 100 models, the 500 models will be warmer (and more watertight) and more efficient at reducing fatigue (more freedom of movement) and irritation. The same is true for the 900 models compared with the 500 models. NB: the 900 models are easier to put on.

Choose the right size

To make the most of the features of your wetsuit, it is necessary to choose the correct size. A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit and there should be no visible folds. When dry, it is perfectly normal to feel like it is too tight, this discomfort disappears as soon as the wetsuit gets wet. If you choose a wetsuit that is too big, folds will appear, you will experience irritation and thermal insulation will be reduced (letting in water). Try it on before you buy it!

This OLAIAN 500 shorty is made of neoprene for better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.

The neck finish has been developed to limit irritation. According to the sensitivity of the wearer, a UV top can be worn under the wetsuit to reduce the risk of irritation. The application of grease (e.g. Vaseline) in friction areas (neck, underarms) is also recommended if wearing the wetsuit for long periods. Make sure the flap is always inside the wetsuit to limit the risk of irritation with the zipper and the neck.

Our zippers and fastenings are laboratory-tested in order to ensure an optimal lifespan and good resistance to salt water. We have put the zipper at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).

Key pocket

There is a key pocket under the zipper flap.

Anti-chafing design

We designed this product with seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to the repetitive paddling movements associated with surf sports.

Stay warm for longer thanks to our thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own outfit ...

When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties. - in cold water (54 - 63°F): High booties (boots) and gloves. - in very cold water (44 - 54°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top ...
