The waterproof qualities of the pants were tested under rainfall for 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a heavy mountain storm.

The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with a 2,000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 2,000 mm column of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours). With a waterproof level of 15,000 mm, the pants have a high level of waterproofing.

To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapor generated by physical activity can escape, and the higher the fabric's breathability. As a rule of thumb: - RET < 9 = very breathable fabric - 9 < RET < 12 = breathable fabric - RET > 12 = little or no breathability The fabric of these pants has an RET of 10

The waterproof pocket on the thigh can be used for your phone (in airplane mode) for example, and therefore keeps it as far away as possible from your AVD (Avalanche Victim Detector). This will reduce interference between the phone and AVD

The removable riser keeps the pants in place when handling various items such as knives, bindings, and skins and also stops snow from getting inside .... We have added removable shoulder straps for you, an essential accessory for your winter pants. For the finishing touch, small gaiters in stretch material have been built into these pants to sit on your ski boot and stop snow from getting inside.

On the climb, open your vents on the outer side of your thighs as this is the best way to avoid perspiring too much. On the descent, don't forget to close them to stop the wind coming in and you getting cold.

Wash at 86°F. Use a liquid detergent and no fabric softener. Close the zippers and wrist openings before machine washing the jacket. Restore the fabric's water-repellent properties using a suitable treatment with each wash. The pants’ lines were selected to give you the greatest comfort on your ski runs. The pants will be slightly loose so you can easily wear a base layer underneath as this model is a waterproof pants without warm layer. Preformed knees to stop any discomfort in movement.

For maximum protection of your pants, we have selected an extremely durable material around the ankles to reduce cuts due to ski edges. We have also glued a specific material inside the pants to stop your boot hooks from wearing the membrane too quickly.

If you use your pants in a resort The Recco® search and rescue system features a technology in two parts which is used by the rescue services of most ski resorts. - The Recco® detector used by the rescue teams emits a directional signal. -The Recco® reflector built into the jacket returns the signal. This generates an audible sound that guides rescue personnel directly to the person needing assistance. Before setting off, make sure you get the information you need from the professionals
