Overall good to wear in rainy days

Overall it's good to wear when doing outdoor activities on rainy days, and it has room for a backpack. However, if it rains heavily, it is recommended to buy it with the lower body rainproof pants, otherwise the pants will get wet~ In addition, it is okay to wear them temporarily when riding a motorcycle in drizzle, but if it rains heavily, your hair and face will get wet.

Very good product used…

Very good product used in the rain during mountain hikes. Easy to put on, enough space for the 30 liter backpack, lightweight, easy to fold and store. I wanted to buy one again. It's a shame that this product has been discontinued and replaced by a new one that I find less good, with a larger volume for the backpack space...

Good waterproof function

You don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain on rainy days, but you can wear a raincoat while carrying a backpack without feeling uncomfortable!

Rain

👍

The openings on both sides of the waist are designed to allow water to enter

The two pockets on the waist are not very well designed and can easily get water in. If you want to retain this function, you should consider covering the outside of the pocket from top to bottom to reduce the possibility of water ingress. If you need a backpack for cycling, it is not recommended to buy this one, as the opening problem is more obvious.

Fit and sizing information

Good coverage for hikers between 5'1'' and 5'5'' in height in size XSbetween 5'5'' and 5'9'' in size S/Mbetween 5'9'' and 6'3'' in size L/XLand wearing a backpack with a capacity of 0 to 40 litres. The hood can be tightened using an elasticated cord and a stopper. The ends of the sleeves are cuffed with an elastic binding that prevents water from entering your sleeves. This rain cape is easy to get on and off thanks to its long front zip, by easily letting the head through.

Additional recommended products

To complement your outfit, a pair of waterproof over trousers or gaiters is recommended to protect your lower legs perfectly. For greater breathability, the waterproof hat can also be attached to the poncho!

Component waterproofing

We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).

Waterproofing of the garment

This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.

Component breathability

Our rain poncho and cape ranges do not come with a waterproof/breathable membrane. Therefore, we recommend calm, gentle use to reduce perspiration rather than fast hiking!

Component water resistance

A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.

Care

We recommend you use a re-waterproofing product (spray or liquid)To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimise the garment's performance throughout its lifetime.

Storage instructions

Long-term storage: dry thoroughly and fold in its bag.
