Product Customer Reviews

I purchased these glasses for mountain biking. The fit is excellent, they are comfortable, light and offer great protection. The anti-fog works perfectly. Would definitely recommend these glasses for MTB riders.
Excellent glasses stay in place for gravel and MTB
Have had these for a few weeks and used every day in the dark, in the sun and temperatures from +20C to -5C. Great performance for the price.
Worn loads now. Both lenses used. I've worn them on cold, dark, wet rides and warm (sweaty) sunny rides. I think they're excellent. I haven't had flecks of mud making it through to my eyes, as I did with previous pair (of Geraint Thomas fame). No fogging. Lovely clear vision, particularly with the tinted lenses. Fast singletrack through dappled shade was no issue: I saw everything. I forgot I was wearing them, which is what you want really. I have quite a small head so some sunnies are a big mobile and unwieldy but these are pefect. The lens goes nice and high up, to meet the underside of my helmet. I race a few TTs, often with a regular helmet on, so being able to keep my head low but still look forwards without a bulky frame or gap blocking my view is important. Delighted.
These were ok for the price to start with. Quite hugging, and fairly close to the face, but still comfortable to wear and providing good protection with decent ventilation, though the frame can be obtrusive to peripheral vision. However, the clear lenses are rubbish, and flimsy. The inside coating (presumably an anti-fog coating of sorts) can only be cleaned with running water. If they get fogged up or have some sweat on them during the ride they’re practically impossible to wipe clean with a riding t-shirt or other soft cloth — they’ll just smear massively. No use mid-ride. Secondly, they scratch very, very easily on the outside. I always use my Oakley for sun protection when riding and in 2 years I’ve only had one, hardly noticeable scratch on them. These, after 4 months of use, are now completely unusable due to scratches. Price was good, but it seems like a false economy.
Bought some of these Rockrider sunglasses, rarely used them and have always been kept in there original case. They are just out of warranty and I have noticed there is a film applied to the surface of the lenses which is peeling away from the edges. Glasses now look very scruffy and so I will no longer be wearing them. I would have expected them to last a lot longer than this at this price point. Save your money and buy a different brand or be sure they don’t have a cheap film on the lenses.
The bridge of my nose is not as pronounced as many people so it's hard to find glasses that fit well. These are excellent. What's more, the depth of the lenses mean that I'm not looking over the frame when riding with my head down.
Great glasses but way too flimsy. I changed over the lens after a week of using and the arm broke!
Bought a pair of the rockrider xc glasses the other week for when I’m out on the local trails ,really impressed with the value for money ,they don’t slip off my face ,they offer great eye protection and so far they haven’t fogged up ,plus with the two lenses included if you want a good value pair of glasses and don’t want to pay Oakley or smith prices
Half the price of just one lense for my Oakley's and you get 2 lenses and great glasses. Just wanted some dusk lenses but will be using these all the time, look great, really comfy and function perfectly. No misting no slipping. Easy to change lenses and the little magnet when clipping the lenses in works great. Can't recommend enough. Nothing better for the price.
Comfortable, excellent visibility (especially when riding on the drops), no wind penetration at high speeds and they don't steam up. Can't rate them highly enough. I have a more expensive pair from a very well know brand too, but I've stopped using them. The fact that both the cat 0 and cat 3 lenses come with them is an added bonus.
I wanted some big cycling glasses to protect my eyes from wind on downhills and from dust and debris when riding gravel trails. I was hoping for something that would bith wrap my face and provide a large area of coverage. Although I have not cycled with these glasses yet I can say they will provide that coverage. I have made this review to advise other customers that this is the case. I may update my review once I have seen how the glasses are in terms of steaming up or not but currently I can't comment. The build quality feels sturdy. Changing the lens is not quite as easy as the videos imply but it is not complicated.
It’s awesome
Gives a excellent protection to eyes from dust and sun rays
Glasses are great but at this price should have added few more replaceable glasses or make them available at you stores.

What our team has to say
Entirely designed and developed, from the initial sketches to the final mock-up, in France at the B'Twin Village (Lille). These XC SUNGLASSES are the fruit of the work of an expert team of passionate cross-country mountain bikers. The Rockrider team designed and tested these XC RACE SUNGLASSES with their user testers and our technical partner, Milton Ramos. All in a variety of conditions to offer high-end sunglasses for cross country riding.
Photochromic technology
Photochromic lenses automatically adjust to light intensity. The lens changes tint in about 30 seconds (45 seconds to clear). The brightness feeling varies little, even if the outside brightness changes. For example, when cycling, the change in tint is hardly noticeable. The tint adjusts gradually so that the eye can adapt. A cold temperature will activate (shade) the lens more rapidly.
Frame
Full coverage frame to protect from cuts in the event of a fall. Frame material: polyamide. Nose pads material: impact-resistant polycarbonate. Arms material: polyamide + rubber. Arm tip material: polyamide + rubber. Sizing: suitable for narrow/medium/large faces.
Lenses
2 interchangeable lenses (except for the photochromic model). Standard: ISO 12312-1 Category 0: lets through 80% to 100% of light (protection at night and in the rain. Category 3: lets through 8% to 18% of light (protection in sunny weather. Category 1 to 3 photochromic lenses: filter varying from 15% to 55% of the light at 73°F. In cold weather (under 50°F) the variation in the tint is greatly diminished. Full UV protection filter
Anti-fogging lenses. an exclusive decathlon innovation
We've treated the transparent glass on the XC Race - Red and XC Race - White glasses with a new treatment that limits steam. Unlike current coatings, this technology is permanent. The coating absorbs condensation like a sponge, so that your vision remains clear during cross country rides. In certain very demanding conditions, fog may appear on the lenses for a short period of time.
Exclusive anti-fogging lens treatment cleaning advice
To effectively clean the treated lenses, rinse them under water with or without liquid soap and gently rub with your fingers. To wipe them, simply dab them with a soft (glass cleaning) cloth without rubbing. Allow to air-dry, then wipe gently with a soft, dry (glass cleaning) cloth to remove any remaining marks.
