Great daypack for the price.

In terms of value for money this pack is difficult to beat. The four-point back padding takes a little getting used to, but creates a well ventilated space second only to a suspended mesh back. Ideal for a day’s hiking with the main interior compartment accommodating a surprisingly large amount of kit. Look forward to carrying it over many a hilly kilometre in the near future.

Love my new bag

This was bought for an overnight trip and definitely did the job. Lots of room for everything needed. Comfortable to carry and small enough for airline hand luggage

All in

Great for most activities. From food, water, clothes, beach towels, we can fit it all in for 2.

Does the job

I chose this over the more expensive daypack because it had a more padded hip belt and a less complicated main compartment closure. I therefore missed out on a rain cover and upper adjuster straps and I regret them both. The narrow profile is good and stable on my back. The strap padding is not luxurious but does the job under all but the heaviest load. Ventilation is good. The lower zip entry is useful. The black interior makes it hard to find stuff.

20L Mountain hiking backpack

Aiming to go lightweight and this pack at 850gms is heavier than I like, and the shoulder straps although well padded felt rough against my skin. Poor fit for my tall fame in the shoulder region, better fit for shorter broader male. Liked the colour way, the design concept and useful front pocket.

Wish it has a bigger capacity.

Hey Sarah,

Thanks for leaving us this great review. We are glad that our hiking backpack MH100 was comfortable for the hike. Thanks for trusting us and our products.

We hope to see you very soon,

Great backpack, comfy and lots of options but...

I love mostly everything with this pack but... It's squeaky! the waist belt and straps makes it squeak when you hike and it's not the best for me... everything else's great!

It's pricy. Not really large enough for all my stuff. However, every easy on my back. Not for people over 5'8" tall.

Good backpack for little hikes!

It has been only 3 months that I have my backpack but I did many hikes. Some was only to carry midlayers and others needed me to carry food and clothes. It all fit but only for a two day trip. I would recommand it for the people who wants to start backpacking for little hikes :)

Great value.

A little short for my 6ft 2” frame, but great value for money and comfy.

Additional Product Information

Main fabric: 100.0% Polyethylene Terephtalate ; Lining: 100.0% Polyethylene Terephtalate ; Pocket: 90.0% Polyethylene Terephtalate, 10.0% Spandex ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane

Laboratory test

We conduct laboratory tests to validate the components: fabrics, buckles, straps, foam padding, zippers, etc. I.e. for a fabric: resistance to wear, tearing, washing, water-resistance & colorfastness under UV rays. Then a test on the finished product that simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the backpack is weighted & placed on a dummy, which then reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.

10-year warranty, technical partnership

The heavy fabric research and development department, Quechua's partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating the aging of backpacks. These tests were conducted on the components, seams, and finished product. Quechua uses the results to guarantee the bags tested for a period of 10 years, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt.

10-year warranty, conditions

The warranty covers the defects of the backpack, excluding those resulting from normal wear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid on presentation of the product and receipt. If the product is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. This commercial warranty does not exclude applicable legal warranties depending on the country and/or State.

How is volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method: We fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in liters.

How to adjust your backpack?

1 - Loosen all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3. - For bags of 50 L and more, place the strap on your hips (it should cover the hip bones of the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 - Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.

How to pack a backpack?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Place the heavy equipment close to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece at hand. In the pockets, place the small equipment that you use during the day (sunblock, map, sunglasses, etc.). The water pouch should be placed in the specially designed compartment normally found along the back of the bag.

Product testing

All our models are tested by users representative of our target market in conditions identical to those you encounter yourself when using them. We believe that carrying out real-life testing is the only way to design and continuously advance the technical relevance and design of all our Quechua products.

Storage instructions
