Simple and functional for my needs

These are simple and functional. Doing photography these are perfect to be able to quickly handle my camera. Be careful with anything metal in your pockets they can attach to the magnet

Quite good in dry conditions

Keep the wind and cold out when dry, although my thumbs got cold sometimes. Handy being able to use fingers, e.g. for poop shopping when dog walking. Useless at keeping hands warm once they get wet.

Magnets interfere with compass

Well made glove, nicer material than the previous version, which used a windbloc fleece as opposed to softshell material. However for mountaineering, hill walking or trekking, where you need to use a compass, the magnetic catch on these gloves interferes strongly with the compass. my compass rotated 90 degrees off bearing due to the magnet. The previous version used velcro. I'll be returning this pair of mitt's/gloves and ordering the 'hunting' version which is the same as the old version of this mitt/glove but in green.

Just what I needed, and the magnetic catch makes switching between mittens and fingerless gloves much more convenient. Would be even happier if they came in x small (or kids).

Great glove but size up

I wanted a glove for taking photos. This seemed very well priced and with the magnetic fold back mitt section it makes for a great package They are however very small made I ended up with a 2xl ( I am normally just a large ) The thumb price is a little tight but on the whole these gloves are excellent Oh but they are rubbish for snowballs though.

Adapted clothing

The body produces heat during exercise, which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of the outfit. If the clothing is unfit for this purpose, the body will cool down and the blood flow to the hands will drop in order to keep the central core warm. The gloves and clothing should therefore be adapted for use to keep hands comfortable. If you're not sure, it's always best to select a pair of hiking gloves that are slightly too big rather than too small.

Recommended temperature = 17.6°f

Glove dexterity

The dexterity of a glove is its ability to manipulate objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The nearer the glove's dexterity rating gets to 5, the closer the manipulation when wearing the glove gets to that of a bare hand. In particular, we tested the ability to easily put on and open your jacket with these open mittens

How is the use temperature measured?

All our gloves are laboratory tested on a thermal hand. The usage T° are valid when walking and wearing clothes suitable for the activity. The body produces heat during exercise, which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of the outfit. If the clothes are not specially adapted, the body cools down, the blood flow through the hands decreases in order to retain the warmth in the central core. The recommended and limit T° are based on 23 testers for T° from 41°F to -4°F and wind of 6.2 mph.

100% windproof

These gloves have a 100% windproof membrane, ideal for staying warm even in strong winds.

Product testing

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, as we remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
