I'm normally a small, I measured myself and decided a medium would do.. there was no way I could get it on at all. Perhaps and XL would just about fit. ...
I bought this for windsurfing/ kitesurfing to wear under my 5:4 wetsuit for some added warmth during the UK winter months. I've worn it for around a a dozen session now and there is no way I'd be without it. It definitely provides added warmth, is comfortable to wear and is very well made and fairly priced. The only downsize is the sizing. I'm normally a size L but there was NO WAY the L was going to fit so I had to go up a size to the XL which is still a tight but comfortable fit. If the sizing was accurate then it would be 5 stars but I feel 4 stars is fair considering I had to do a return / exchange.
It's a nice enough top and I'm sure will be great but....I'm a 42" chest and I could just about manage get the top on but it was so tight could hardly breathe. So I'll try a 2XL Decathlon sizes generally run small.
Nice top but returned as to small
Have worn multiple times now both under summer wetsuit in cool water for surfing and bodyboarding. Worn when open water swimming and also when paddle boarding. Seems to take the abuse and is very comfortable. Sizing is small, but the cross over sizing could be better…. XL is too tight but 2xl is almost too loose. However would buy again…. If ever in stock again.
As guide - a men’s size large fits a size 10 5’6” lady.
Despite using the decathlon sizing guide this was a size too small
Always large but needed xxl measures 44in
Not used it yet, bought it because I'm going to Scarborough for a few days in July so hopefully use then. Good quality and size, delivery within a couple of days
I use this over my 3mm suit to give extra warmth/protection in cooler monthe

seemed a little small
Have used this for kayaking for the past 6 months and am very impressed. It's much warmer than a standard rash vest, and is less than half the price of other similar tips from other brands.
Very good keeps you warmer in cold pool or sea
I got one of these. I use it for sea swimming currently (September). I find it very useful. It keeps you just that little bit warmer (obviously) than no top, and also it's good for sun protection. Much more convenient than shortie wetsuit. I really like it.

How to choose your uv protection t-shirt (part 1)
All of our UV-resistant T-shirts are UPF 50+, i.e. they have the maximum level of sun protection. The choice between them will therefore be made based on the length of the sleeves and will depend on what it will be used for. The constraints are greatest for surfing, so we decided to build our range primarily for surfing. For surfing, the choice will be made according to the duration of your sessions: 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.
How to choose your uv protection t-shirt (part 2: according to the duration of the session)
1 hour: Occasional practice. You can choose between a loose fit (priority to ease of dressing and comfort when dry) or a fitted cut (priority to comfort when wet). A loop system to connect it to the shorts ensures the stability of the product.2 hours: Regular practice. Comfort when wet is enhanced by the seamless panels under the arms and the drawstring, which further increases stability.3 hours: Intensive practice. Additional warmth to help you stay in the water for longer.
Warmth and wind
The minimum water temperature recommended for the use of this UV-protection T-shirt is 72°F if it is worn on its own. Max. session length: 3 hours.This top has neoprene on the front and back to provide warmth even in windy conditions. This top can also be worn under a wetsuit.
Materials
The neothermal top is made of fleece textile and neoprene to ensure better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with polyester fabric for added resistance to wear.Neoprene thickness: 1.5 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
Uv protection even when wet.
The fabric of this OLAIAN UV-resistant product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiation and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun. It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. UV radiation is filtered by the density of the textile fibers, for long-lasting protection, even after washing. The fleece inserts contain spandex, which may deteriorate in chlorinated water.
What does upf 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardized worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVB and 98% of UVA rays.
Reduced chafing
This neothermal top helps limit rubbing and chafing due to contact with the surfboard or bodyboard. It can also be used under a wetsuit to limit chafing, particularly around the neck and armpits. We have added seamless panels under the arms to limit irritation due to paddling movements. Our test protocols confirmed that irritation was indeed limited during 3-hour sessions.

Behavior when in the sun
Although this T-shirt protects against the sun, phenomena such as reflections (from water, sand ...), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account.Wearing this T-shirt does not exempt the wearer from adopting suitable behavior: wear sunglasses, wear a hat or cap, regularly apply an appropriate sun block, drink regularly, etc.
