Product Customer Reviews

Got these for my husband and he loves them. Very comfortable and amazing value for the price
At £19.99 I wasn't expecting much, but these boots really are good. Wore them climbing Snowdon in the wind and rain and they performed amazingly. I'd recommend getting some additional insoles, but they are only around £5 on here.
Very nice fit and comfortable for everyday wear
Wanted a pair of lightweight boots for summer hiking. Normally wear Meindl Vakums. These £19.99 boots are every bit as comfortable as £300 meindls. Yeah, the sole is thin, they are a lightweight boot. They feel more like active trainers, and what’s more they look great. The fit is snug so still feels supportive but not tight. I have very low arch’s and the shoe allows my foot to spread. 100% I would and will be buying another pair.
Had to go back for another pair as they were just that good
Buy cheap, buy twice. Listen to the saying. I get that you can’t expect a great deal of quality paying such a low price price there is absolutely no way these should be considered hiking boots. I tried them on for about 5 minutes and realised you would be no good for any use outside of my driveway. I’m pretty sure you’d feel every tiny bit of debris under foot as the sole is very flimsy and thin. I can’t comment on the ‘waterproofing’ as I sent them back before using them but I doubt very much they are even water resistant. However, they are comfortable straight out of the ‘plastic bag’ (no box). Very cheap and cheerful. Sorry Decathlon for the poor review. I buy lots off you, for several different activities, most of which I love, but to call these hiking boots is a bit misleading. If you’re after a budget pair of boots you’ll need to spend a bit more. I never, ever review items but always read them when buying products. These boots were worthy of review, sadly for the wrong reasons.
The length is good, but the width is not proportional, the shoe is too tight in lateral with the wide/tight whatever laces. After 2 weeks my leg swelled and I started limping. A manufacturing defect makes my foot ache at the base of my thumb.
I was purchasing a second pair of cheap walking boots for light walking and these are fantastic and at the price point beat anything else on the market. Highly recommend if you only walk casually or need a cheap 2nd pair
Very good all round boots note they are light weight so if you are looking for this in a walking boot then this is 4 you.
Thank you for your review Paul!
We are glad you like your new hiking boots!
Happy hiking!

Grippy soles on natural footpaths
The sole’s design is the result of long research carried out in our labs. It is composed of a specific rubber formula that optimizes grip and resistance. Since not all needs are the same, we are always looking for the best solution to develop on loose country trails (unpaved forest paths) and mineral trails (like a coastal path).
Designed for use on country trails
Our hiking boots are designed for use on off-road trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to hiking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (asphalt) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain hiking.
Laboratory tested
Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking boots.
How to choose the right size hiking boots
Try on both boots, standing up and wearing the socks you use for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check 2 comfort points: - the heel seating - the front of the foot on a downward slope Avoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually start using your boots during your 1st few hiking trips to break them in.
The shoe/sock combination plays an important role
There are numerous causes of blisters when hiking: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a shoe size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important to choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your hiking boots.
How to choose the size of your hiking socks
You need to choose the correct sock size for your feet to avoid any extra folds forming on the sock: These folds may form because the sock is too big and therefore there is too much material around your foot, or because the sock so small and is pulled toward the inside of your foot.
How to choose the fabric of your hiking socks
You need to manage moisture as best you can when hiking: You will sweat; it is often inevitable. If your boot is breathable, it will wick away moisture from your perspiration. It is therefore necessary to choose a light and breathable sock as well. If your boots are relatively waterproof, you will not make the same choice to protect you from the moisture of the rain: You should prefer socks that will absorb your perspiration and then wick it away from your foot.
Which pair of socks goes well with the nh100 mid boots?
These boots are slightly breathable, but not enough to evacuate all humidity created by your perspiration. Therefore, you should opt for the NH500 Mid socks. they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit construction under the sock that wicks moisture away from your foot. They are high enough to protect your ankle from the boot. It is an excellent combination to reduce the chance of blisters.

Product testing
It’s in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that our design team conceives, designs, and creates Quechua products. We test them in the field with other hikers, to check their comfort and durability. The Forest of Fontainebleau or in Brittany, for example. We go to as many different places as possible, in all weather conditions. This creates plenty of opportunities for discussions to get your feedback, which is used to plan our future products!
Storage instructions
We recommend you store your boots in a dry, dark, and, if possible, ventilated place.
