The poles are fine but did not collapse small enough to go in a medium size suitcase for when I travel, so I returned them.
Following emails to Nordic Walking staff at Decathlon, glad to say my last review ref white glove clip falling out seems to have been solved . These are ideal for the first few months after Qualified Instruction, check British Nordic Walking Web site to find an Instructor, please do not be tempted to teach yourself. Learn the 10 Step Technique and become a true Nordic Walker.This is not the same as Trekking as these poles are very different ,and can not be used to obtain full technique.
I've used these a long time as they are such great value! They're strong and sturdy, look good and do the job - giving the walker a full body work out when used properly. Consequently I had to buy another pair for my husband who has just caught the Nordic Walking bug
I am a qualified British Nordic Walking Instructor of 10 years experience of Nordic Walking in Oxfordshire. Not one pole has ever let my walker's down. I always advise get an adjustable set of poles before a fixed length. The paws and gloves cost a quarter of the price when compare to the market place leaders such as Excel or Leki ( I use) ,which have presented problems in the past in my experience. These are great once you have learnt the INWA ten steps of Nordic Walking Technique. Always seek the advice of a Trained Instructor with a proven track record to teach you the correct technique. If in the UK search the British Nordic Website to find one.
These were a great price as a starter set of poles. They have the glove straps which is a must for Nordic Walking poles, my only 'against' points would be they are quick weighty and plastic handles, the cork ones are a lot more comfortable for using longer distances and wick the sweaty hands away.
First time using poles - Quick and easy to adjust Worth the price and came is very handy, as I picked up a small injury and these helped complete a 30 mile hike. Not easy to fit into regular size back-pack, as they do not compact-down too much

I‘m so pleased I purchased these.. I am a newcomer to Nordic walking and was reluctant to elbow out my faithful (and top of the range) trekking poles. But I’ve been out every day with them since they arrived and loving them. The poles seem very strong and are easy to adjust. The gloves are comfortable and all the parts are replaceable.

What are the differences between nordic walking and hiking?
