If you aren't playing with a feather shuttlecock, then you won't feel any difference as it gives a very close feel. But once you play and change immediately to this plastic one, you will feel the difference immediately between the shots being played and the comfort with the feather one. Recommended for casual playing, as the longevity is like ever, whereas you need to replace a feather shuttlecock after every 1 - 3 sets. I bought a set of 6 but the first one didn't wear out yet. I think this will last me for years, if I play every winter season.
