This mat smells overpoweringly like toxic rotting cabbages and overwhelms any room it's in. I was so concerned about the smell I asked Decathlon customer service to confirm the fumes are not toxic. They confirmed the product has passed EU safety standards, acknowledged that there is an issue with the smell of the black coloured mat only and advised it is being replaced with a grey version next year

The matt reeked of toxic low grade foam from God knows where. Easily returned for full refund, full points for good service from staff.

Arrived with a small nick probably from shipping. Great training mat, doesn’t slip and large enough so you can do any workout (HIIT included).

Spend ages trying to find a mat that is long enough for an adult man! I am 6'3" and can rest my heels and head on this. Perfect! It's really thick so it makes doing planks much more comfortble for bony elbows. Now downsides, other than the cost.

I've had this mat for over a year now and it has been absolutely brilliant. I've used it anywhere between 2-6 times a week in the past year and it is wearing well, with just minimal damage from use. It is comfortable and feels secure on my laminate floors and the thickness is perfect for the dance, cardio and barre workouts I've been doing, and has saved my knee and ankle joints in the process. My only issue now would be that it's nearly double the price from a year ago!!

I bought this mat because it was big. Thick enough to be very comfortable as I have very sticky-out spinous processes. Also big enough to keep me from touching the gym floor when stretched out. I love it. Only thing is its so big you can't carry it well, I could do with a bag to carry it in (the strap doesn't contain it well).

The best Matt for all types of exercise

Like many of my 50+ friends I've been struggling with kneeling poses in fitness classes. This mat now provides me with enough cushioning to do the whole class in comfort. Just wish the carry strap was elasticated rather than a loop.

I bought two of these to cover a large floor area while I'm doing a stretching routine. They are thick rubber and very comfortable. I had struggled with an exercise where most of my weight is on one knee - with a previous mat I had to fold it in six - but with this mat it's absolutely fine. Bear in mind they are quite big when rolled up eg. 25cm diameter and 70cm wide and heavier than a normal mat, but they come with a decent shoulder strap so perfectly carryable.
