Product Customer Reviews

Everything seems great about this tent...except I cannot get it closed properly. I have watched numerous videos and am following the process laid out, but it just will not come together. I've tried and tried but the rings don't line up neatly and when I use the pull cord and get it down to the figure 8, it will not fold over. It feels like I'd snap it if I tried to force it. I do not understand why it will not line up correctly even though I'm following the directions.
It’s easy to put up but try packing it up impossible
surprised it was easy to set up and pack up. fresh tech means the outer lining keeps out the sun's heat and the inner black lining keeps it dark so you can sleep in and not be woken by light or heat.
Works exactly as intended, good ventilation, easy to unfold and fold back as advertised.
This is my 4th fresh & black and can highly recommend this easy robust tent.
This latest design puts every other pop-up tent to shame. Perfect for two and some luggage for a quick overnight camping. Thoughtfully designed side vent shield for a rainy night. Decent space between fly and mesh to reduce condensation. Sags a bit in the middle, but that's just a visual quirk. I wouldn't use the included pegs anywhere other than my backyard.
This has to be the best pop-up tent yet. Great ventilation. Flysheet and mesh designed to reduce condensation. Guide hooks for easy fold down. Dark inner for warm/bright days. Lotsa thoughtful touches. Amazing design. Love the side vents and guides. Great for overnight stops and beach days. It's perfect for a couple and a bag & essentials. We like to be a little away from the inner mesh. Three persons in the tent may get too close to the mesh on the sides. Even though the design is admirable, it may not be idiot-proof. Folding down, even with the colour coded guides can be tricky for newbies. A few trials at home or in the garden should get you upto speed. The included tent pegs are basic and may only be used in soft ground. Be sure to carry appropriate pegs for hard ground or the beach.
Nice tent, great value at 50% off. Bought it for our car camping adventures and has ticked all the boxes. Easy setup and packaway, waterproof (tested during a tropical storm and no leaks at all), vents are a nice feature and blackout is a bonus.
Condensation and airflow are still an issue
The setting up is quick and easy. Folding back the tent is a bit tricky. Nevertheless a good buy!
Took this tent out for an overnight camp and ended up getting an unexpected 10mm rain. Tent held up well, all dry inside. Easy to set up and pull down. I recommend watching the video instructions. It could use a little more height.
As mentioned, it's very intuitive to unpack and pack. Hardly takes a few minutes.
Really impressed at set up and pack up time the black inner is a winner - dulls out nearly all light even in bright sun. Very very impressed.
It just says 2 sec... it is not easy to fold up...
It is so easy to set up and pack up. Just follow the tutorial video then you will get it. The tent quality is great, plenty spaces for stuff with pockets inside. I tried to sleep in it at home and it turned out perfect, the lights cant come through due the fresh and black fabric. Also can feel the air coming in and out with plenty ventilation windows on the sides. Cant wait to bring it to actual camping

Set up/dismantling
Quick setup. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like, and if there's no wind, no need for pegs = ready to use!). Easy to fold thanks to the guidance system.
Mattress compatibility
We recommend you use the tent with the self-inflating or backpacking mattress measuring 23.6" maximum. We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 2.4" height in this tent due to the reduction in living space and resistance to condensation.
Ventilation
Flysheet with 2 side panels that can be opened out and attached to the side guy ropes (open from the inside). Air can circulate in the bedroom. The entire rear flysheet can also be lifted from the inside, by pulling on a cord. 2 areas between the flysheet and the ground on each side of the bedroom to enable the air to renew itself and limit natural condensation. Fresh concept to reduce the heat from the sun.
Waterproofing
All Quechua tents are tested in a laboratory (whole tent under 200 L/sqm/hr for 4 hours), as well as in the field. (2000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 4.2 oz/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester chamber under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.
Wind-resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy ropes fitted around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds up to 30 mph near the ground (Force 6).

It’s in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that our design team conceives, designs and creates Quechua products. We test them in the field with other campers, to check their comfort and resistance. From Brittany to Corsica, we go to as many places as possible, in all weather conditions.
