In the storm!!

We purchased this tent about two weeks ago to replace our old tent due to water leaking in. For two days on our camping trip we had thunder showers with high winds. This tent kept us dry with no leaking even while rain was driven by the wind. This tent has plenty of head room to walk around with plenty of interior space. The design promotes ventilation. Love the darken rooms as we were able to sleep in witch also gave lots of privacy. Can't wait to next camping season to come around. This tent is very easy to put up and down with one person. I'm totally satisfied, this is a great summer tent. Avid camper for the past 50 years.

Waterproofing Inadequate

We bought this tent in August of 2020 but due to wildfires/smoke in our area did not get a chance to use it until this year (2021). It took a little practice to efficiently set it up with the inflatable supports but I will say that after getting used to the setup it is easy to use and its nice not to have to fuss with typical tent poles. We love the blackout rooms, although I will say that the interior wall of the larger blackout room is not truly blacked out. You can see straight through it out into the common space/living space area when there is even a little bit of light outside. The Bad: I noticed initially so weird swirls/discoloration on one of the awnings and the rain fly portion of the tent when we initially set it up but didn't think much of it. After sleeping through our first night of light but consistent rain we stayed dry in the bedroom but came out to significant amount of water in the common area. It seems that the discolorations we noticed are likely areas where the water proofing on the rain fly was not applied well. I will probably just re-apply some water proofing myself but this is not something I would have expected from a tent in this price range.

Great family car camping tent

A lot of things to love about this tent. 1. Sleep late with the blackout features. 2. I'm right around 6ft and had lots of room to spare. 3. The center area is great if the weather isn't good. 4. Setup is easy. 5. Love the pouches on the outside of the rooms. Potential improvements 1. It is 20ft long and getting the tension on the ground sheet is hard. This is needed to keep the ground sheet sides high. Could be solved by more connections between the ground sheet and rain fly. 2. Tent pegs are poor. This is pretty standard - I'll be replacing them all with better quality pegs. 3. The top support bars take practice to get in. I'm 6ft and was just able to reach overhead to get them in. The ends kept slipping out of the holder. 4. In the 3rd room - it would be great if there were pouches in all 4 corners instead of just two. Small thing - but noticeable. Things to note... The bag is big... It is to be expected for a tent this size - but it is still really big. Practice setup (good advise with any new gear) It really helped to understand how to tension the various parts of the tent. The ground sheet and rain fly are not connected. If it was raining hard this would not be the tent I would want to have... Also not sure how it would keep out bugs. This might depend on how I staked out the ground sheet. Will update if my opinion changes.

Nice tent but not worth the money.

Bought this tent for my family of four and I have to tell you I’m pretty disappointed. For one it doesn’t even come with the $25 pump that you need to use the tent, you would think for $900 they could give you a $25 pump that’s needed to use the tent. Secondly, the two dark rooms that attach inside are great but the rest of the tent, that you would spend most your time in, is not sealed at the bottom so even if you have the doors shut bugs or animals can just come right on in. Set up is relatively simple, we ended up just using a regular air pump and guessing on the psi since when we tried to order the pump for the tent is was not available. Have not tested in the rain but the rain flys do not even cover the whole tent, and again the opening all the way around the bottom, so I don’t see how it would keep you dry. Overall, in my opinion, this tent is no where near worth $900.

The bedroom has 2 mosquito nets, 1 at the top of the door and the other on the wall.

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The goal is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.Well pitched with the guy ropes properly deployed, this tent remains habitable with a wind of force 7, measured at 35 mph.

Waterproofing

We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The 1st test is done in the laboratory, 4 hours under 200 liters of water per hour per sqm, the equivalent of tropical rain of 200 mm per hour. The 2nd test is done in the field under real conditions by our teams. This tent is equipped with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet of 2000 mm water resistance.
