Just what we needed

We looked all over for a sleeping bag made of cotton, and are so happy to have found this! Our son likes the feeling of sleeping in a sleeping bag in his bed every night, but I wasn’t happy with the synthetic materials on his skin constantly, and how slippery our other bags were. This is well made, withstands regular washing, and is very comfortable for him. We love it and are grateful to have found it!

pleasant material

The cotton material is pleasant. Used this summer, it is more pleasant because it sweats less than plastic materials. Easy to wash. A little cool despite the heatwave.

For indoors or summer. A good point for the comfortable dimensions in width and length.

It's the grand slam!

Purchased sleeping bag used mainly for sleeping indoors when going to someone's house. I could use it without problem to sleep in a tent (but not hiking eh). I was keen to buy cotton, and I don't regret it, we find the comfort of its sheets. The size is good. In short, nothing to say, I would buy again without problem, the price being very fair too.

Use temperature

We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard ISO 23537-1 of 21/01/2017. The comfort temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this criterion.

What is the comfort limit temperature?

The comfort limit temperature is the temperature limit at which a person curled up in the sleeping bag is in general thermal equilibrium, neither too cold nor too hot (determined for a man in normal conditions of use).

What you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not produce heat, but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (body type, fatigue, etc.), equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

Tips before getting into your bag

Dress simply (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm-up your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, hand-warmers, padding, etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot waterbottle (as long as there's no risk of accidental opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but without making any movement generating a cold airstream. To wash your sleeping bag less often, we recommend you use a sleeping bag liner.

Washing your sleeping bag

We advise you to use a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg and to close the zips of your sleeping bag well

Product testing

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie. This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts. A great asset for designing quality products for your treks, and bringing you all our expertise.

Storage instructions

Easily store your sleeping bag by stuffing it into its cover feet first. To keep it fluffed up, which will ensure good thermal performance, remove its cover and store it somewhere dry.
