I've used this hiking a couple of times. I used this hiking when the temperature was about 39°F how long was a long sleeve poly base layer and until the wind kicked up to about 20 miles an hour it was perfect. Add a windbreaker until the wind died down and then took the windbreaker off. I like how it breathes and allows the sweat to evaporate.
I like the material, the warmth it provides but also lets some breeze through so I don't get too hot. If it's too breezy or windy I'll add another layer with more wind-stopping power. Great fleece fro my needs with are hiking and camping.
Great mid-layer for cold temps when moving hard. Nice to have on chill summer evenings if you are lounging. I'm 6'2"/188cm 160lbs/73kg and I wear a Large
I bought this as a mid layer for winter backpacking in North Carolina. It’s rained for 2 straight days. I was lazy with putting on my rain jacket and this got saturated both nights. Low temp was 35-40 degrees on both those nights. Even when wet it kept me warm! I didn’t even have baselayers on, just a Columbia silver ridge short sleeve underneath. When I slept I just kept it on in my sleeping bag and it was dry by morning. The armpit mesh panels were great while hiking so I didn’t overheat. It got snagged several times on branches and thorns and didn’t tear or unravel at all. I typically wear a size large, but due it turns out decathlon sizes run a little small. The XL fit slightly loose, but left room if I needed to put on baselayers. I am 5’8” and 200 pounds. This fleece was amazing!

This is a mens top. I am female and I often buy male tops as they are nicer and often fit better than the womens. I am 160cm & 58kg, the small was a perfect fit.
Tight fit, half a size smaller than actual universal sizing code !!! Extremely warm
It’s very light and appears to very warm however as it’s not winter here can’t can’t confirm.
Snug fitting warm jacket great for getting out and about, also not bad in lite rain it holds itself well and doesn't seep through keeping you snug and dry.

The fleece component is designed to trap air in the space formed by its texture; this air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air. This component has been tested in the laboratory for a comfort temperature ranging from 45 to 50°F without an additional jacket.
Durability warranty of 2 years
We test the aging of our hiking fleeces to guarantee their durability. We guarantee:- resistance to wear from backpacks and moving arms to delay the appearance of piling, which is specific to this material- the solidity of seams- the resistance of the fleece material after 3 washes (size stability)- color fading after washing, when exposed to UV, or after contact with perspiration.
Product testing
We carry out 2 types of thermal testing:- either a test of the material of our fleeces.- or on a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. We reproduce the conditions of temperature, wind (3 mph), and humidity that you would encounter in the mountains walking at 3 mph in our testing chambers.These tests allow us to validate our design choices. So we can adapt our thermal insulation where you most need it.
