Product Customer Reviews

Nice lightweight rain coat. I usually wear a large, but saw that these run small, so ordered XL, which is perfect. I can wear a fleece jacket underneath, but it's not too big when worn by itself. I wore it briefly in the rain once, and it functioned well. The hood is nicely formed so it sits comfortably on my head and stays there. The only strange thing about the jacket is that the zipper is on the "wrong" side for a man's jacket, i.e. the zipper pull is on the left, not the right.
Was great price. Very comfortable and love that seams are sealed.
Thanks, Brandon for your review!

Wow! I can't believe how great this jacket is... After looking into rain jackets that cost 5-6 times as much, I decided to try this one first, am I ever glad I did! The jacket is great at cutting the wind, kept all wet snow and rain off of me, and the pockets on the front are great - nice and high so I can rest my hands in the up on my chest while hiking. The jacket fits fairly tightly, while the sleeves are a little on the long side. I'm 6' 3, 200 lbs and kind of gangly, and the overall fit is perfect, but I'm not able to wear more than a base and mid layer under it. The hood is AMAZING! It fits incredibly well, and the cutouts under the peak are awesome, allowing almost 100% visibility which is amazing. The jacket folds up small and fits anywhere in my bag. I'm really happy with this jacket. Don't be afraid to give it a try!
Incredibly priced piece of kit, just a little tight if anything, and I'm quite a slim Medium
Bought this jacket for my husband and he gives it 5 stars! Ideal for shopping trips and walks. Good waterproof jacket.
Brilliant jacket. Totally waterproof, lightweight, great fixings and pockets
Well fitting and very waterproof, I’m 5’11 and 173lb and the large fits like a glove enough space for movement
I purchased this jacket about three months ago after reading some very positive reviews. I purchased it in the mustard colourway and it fitted very well and had some features I considered desirable, especially the pit zips for ventilation purposes. I wore it once or twice in short periods of light rain very local to home and it was fine though the hood peak could be better. Today it was absolutely horrendously wet, raining cats and dogs, so I thought I would put it on and go for a short 40 min walk to test its metal. It soaked through at the usual weak points on all rain jackets, the top of the hood, the shoulders and across the top of the back, within about 15-20 minutes. I wasn't walking fast enough for it to be sweat and condensation. Upon returning home and hanging up the jacket to dry, it is still very damp after 2.5 hrs in a moderately warm room . I will still use the jacket albeit for casual urban wear as opposed to serious hiking/backpacking use as it is very good in many respects. However I certainly wouldn't trust it when I am out on the hills, miles from home when a rainstorm strikes. Back to the drawing board for a highly water resistant mountain rain jacket for me I am afraid. Based on my personal experience I would only recommend this jacket for light to moderate use where you will be returning home the same day, not as a serious outdoor rain jacket that you need to rely on when out on multi day trips in the back country.
Very pleased
I have had North Face and Rab waterproof jackets, but saw this and purchased based on price and reviews. The coat is made really well and is highly waterproof, soft to touch/wear and light weight. The colour is a darker grey that online pics, but I prefer this. I have been out in heavy rain and it just runs straight off the coat. Compared to the brands above, I would say quality is on a par... Its early days but its an impressive jacket at this price.
Handy good sized pockets and a comfortable fit . Good in th rain.
I was looking at the slightly cheaper jackets, but really needed something breathable. This jacket proved to be an excellent investment - lightweight, comfortable, breathable and stopped the rain.
Hello Mark,
Thank you for taking the time to post your review.
Have a good day,

Due to wrong size twice I have had to buy same cost twice, I was assured I would get refund but still waiting
at last a proper waterproof jacket, I've worn it along with trousers of the same material from Decathlon in terrible wet and windy conditions and they kept me bone dry
Brilliant. Can’t fault it.

Cut
Fitted cut to fully benefit from the stretch component. The raglan sleeves enable great stretch and frees your movement more when hiking. A warm layer, such as a fleece or light padded jacket, can be worn underneath.
Hood
Adjustable height with an elastic cord and tightening toggle. Integrated semi-rigid visor to provide high level protection. The small detail that makes the difference: a triangular opening on the side of the hood for better visibility to the sides.
Main component
3-layer component with membrane
Membrane
The waterproofing of a product depends on 2 main criteria: its component and design. This product is designed with a membrane. The membrane is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It is flexible, lightweight, and breathable.
Layer design
3-layer design: The membrane is glued between the outer and inner fabric. We use it for durable and high performance jackets
Component waterproofing
To guarantee the waterproofing level of a component, we carry out laboratory tests. We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 15,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 15,000 mm column of water. This is also equivalent to 15,000 Schmerbers.
Jacket waterproofing
To check the waterproofing of the jacket, we carry out laboratory tests to simulate rainy weather. This garment has been validated in a shower test under 100 L/sqm/h of water for 3 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a mountain storm.
Breathability
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET). This is its capacity to let water vapor generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric RET ≤ 20: not very breathable fabric This product was assessed at 6 RET
How to reactivate water repellency
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. The fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment. The water-repellent property can be reactivated by putting the jacket in the tumble dryer for 10 minutes on low heat. You can also use the re-waterproofing spray (ref 855490)
