The Tarmak R500 basketball is one of a kind. Some balls are slippery, have a terrible bounce and can't be repaired. We wanted to offer a solutionIn addition to its reinforced covering, this ball contains a green gel made of rubber microparticles that get sucked into holes to not only fill, but to also reinforce these areas. This prevents air leaking out so you can keep playing. We called this gel Magic Jam.

The Tarmak R500 ball won't go flat for up to 10 punctures of 2 mm in diameter. If you find a hole, bounce the ball at least 10 times. This causes the Magic Jam to move around and fill in the hole before hardening on contact with air.If the ball ever loses too much pressure, remember to reinflate it (to 0.62 bar for the perfect bounce).

Having a good grip is essential in basketball.We turned to something else that depends on excellent grip for inspiration: tires.The R500 Tarmak basketball comes with a rubber covering that makes it durable and exceptionally grippy. Its sculpted panels were inspired by how tires are designed. They are alternating and have thick, basketball-specific pebbles to make grasping the ball a doddle.

If you want a very durable ball, go for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are what you need.

A basketball that is overinflated or underinflated doesn't give you the best match experience.The recommended pressure is clearly marked on the ball by the manufacturer.
