Excellent quality very comfortable and brilliant price and fast delivery
I've owned this for a couple of years. It's used most weekends when sailing and in all weather conditions. It's comfy and provides excellent weather protection. The short length is ideal for seated helming, as it doesn't ride up. Like many sailing jackets it does have too much velcro - I customised mine by carefully removing the cuff and hem velcro. I don't feel it needs this adjustment as it's quite slim fitting already. Overall an excellent jacket and definitely as good as far more expensive brands.

An excellent sailing jacket for a fraction of the cost of the more established brands. It stood up to 3 hours of heavy rain on a recent trip in the Solent without any leaks or discomfort. Recommended.
Bought this back in July as in impulse buy while in store to get body-boards on way to Anglesey with the boys, and I knew it would be rainy. I've been getting most of my kids' waterproofs from Decathlon's sailing section and been really impressed every time. Tried size 'M' and was really impressed at the fit - nicely snug/athletic fit, good arm length, hood perfect size. The shape is spot-on and well tailored. Material is very high quality and I really like the red/dark orange hood with big reflective panels. The colour combination of grey/dark grey/red is lovely, it's really grown on me and feels really natural when out hiking. I've chucked my old MTB jacket and now take this on wet bike rides - easily as good as something twice the price. It has proper chunky zips none of that fine-toothed rubbish. Velcro fasteners on sleeves are just the right amount, as per storm flap. Only mistake is not reversing the velcro on the RHS sleeve so that it doesn't keep sticking to the RHS breast/waist opening. Really good pockets all round. Huge fleece lined collar means this is a propery cold weather waterproof, but still OK in summer if you're just wearing a t-shirt.
As far as value for money goes you will not get much better than this. My only complaint and this is being picky is that some of the velcro get caught up on its self when not fully fastened. Outside of this it is every bit as good if not better than some of the very expensive major brands I have had. Sorry I did not buy one earlier! I could have saved a fortune!

How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 1: before washing
Close all zippers and flaps and remove any parts of the garment that cannot be washed. Also remember to loosen the straps and elastic parts and empty the pockets. Then turn the garment inside out to wash it.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 2: washing
You can wash your jacket on a synthetic cycle at 86°F or 104°F with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric softener, which could damage the existing performance of the garment, or bleach. Also take care not to bend your jacket too much when you place it in the washing machine and do not overload your machine. Using the right thermal protection based on the water temperature is essential. select a thorough rinse or double rinse to completely remove all detergent residue.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency step 3: drying
Drying is a crucial phase in reactivating the water-repellent treatment.We recommend that you lay your jacket flat on a clothes rack and leave it out to dry in the open. Caution: never dry your jacket directly on a radiator.Then place it in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way around.
How to reactivate the jacket's water-repellency
If, despite this procedure of washing and thorough rinsing followed by gentle drying in a tumble dryer, the drops of water no longer run off the surface of your jacket, we recommend that you ”re-waterproof” it using a spray sold in our stores.
Storage instructions
Store in a dry place, but do not leave your garment on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
