Good quality, nice colors, but runs smaller than the indicated size

Sizing was way off
Hi, I love Decathlon as a store. Great products at a good price bur really disappointed with this purchase. Having read all the reviews why is there no notification that your sizing is incorrect either instore or online. I now have to go out of my way to go to the store or pay postage to return. Poor customer service.
Thank you for your recent feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found our swimsuits too small. We are working on new size template for children's clothes to make it more up to today's market.
Also we added to each product page, just above the box with size selection blue colour link "find your size" where you can see chart with metric and imperial height linked to each size. In addition to that we made visible customer's feedback where you can check opinion from customers with who already bought the product.
We are working also on this tool development to make sure in the future everything is in one place and should help to choose correct size.
We hope that at least return process was smooth and you were able to exchange this model for bigger size.

My 9 year old daughter loved this so we bought her it in age 10 ...it went no where near her. We returned this and purchased age 12 unfortunately even though this is bigger it's still too small. So we will have to return it again and try age 14 - for a 9 year old girl!!

We are working on different solutions to make our swimwear size more up to date with the current market trends. Currently we recommend to go 2 sizes up to the child age but of course this is an individual aspect of each user.

My daughter is 5 and having read other reviews I bought a size 8, still too small so I returned it.

I ordered the size 10 for my tall 8 yr old. It fits my 6 yr old. Just. The quality and shape is good, it just is really, really small.
I bought a size 8 for my just turned 7 year old. She is quite tall so I bought a bigger size. The swimsuit arrive and although it was lovely quality and bright it was so tiny. I actually look after children so tried it on one of the 3 year olds and it fit. I live in NZ and had this posted out so can't return it. Be wary if you are buying this, it comes up very very small.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the costume was well too small for your daughter. Our brands are aware of the issue with sizes and they are working on the new kids/Jr template for future models. For now we recommend to all customers to buy bigger size then age of their child.
With regards to the refund or return of product for the moment we don't provide service in New Zealand. We have plans to open Decathlon stores in Australia and probably to cover NZ with the online service but this will take a bit of time (2-3 years).

Very good value for money too.
My daughter has just turned 7 , we bought a size 8yrs and it is too small. The neck line is too low. Apart from that its made well and we like the pattern.

Бански я е хубав модел. Действително са умалени, може би с два номера. Ние сме на 5 г. Очакваше се да взема принципно размер за 6г. Тъй като отговаряме на см.за тези години. Но пък нямаше този размер и вземах за 8годишни. Очаквах да е доста голям,но се оказа, че ни става. Тежим 19кг. Високи сме 116см. На 5г. Но ни стана банския за 8г.
Moc hezky sedí, vzali jsme ale o číslo menší
Velice špatně uvedené velikosti. Dceři, která má 6, jsme koupili plavky větší než pro šestileté s označením 7-8 let. Vyměnili jsme. Byly mini a oproti jinému typu, který má druhá dcera, byly o hodně menší. Nakonec má podobné plavky s označením pro dvanáctileté děti. Snad vydrží, protože druhé uváděné plavky od starší dcery povolily ve švu u ramínka. Možnost sešit rovna nule. Ale velké + na závěr, že výměna jedněch a reklamace druhých, byla rychlá, příjemná a bez zdržování nebo vnucování nějakého scénáře od prodavačů, což se jinde pořád děje.

X-shaped back: a swimming swimsuit should focus above all on comfort, to allow you to perform your movements with ease, without discomfort or pain. That is why it is important to choose the cut of the back of your swimsuit carefully. In X-shaped back swimwear, crossed straps allow good freedom of movement. As the straps are not fixed together, they adapt to all body types.
Material
Material: 80% polyamide / 20% spandex. Chlorinated water can be harmful to swimsuits that are used repeatedly in swimming pools. The spandex fiber that gives the material its stretch and therefore makes it comfortable, also becomes fragile when in contact with chlorine. If you swim occasionally, this material will be fine for you. If you swim regularly or intensively, opt for a 100% polyester material.
