Riverside 3.5 L Bikepacking Handlebar Accessories Bag

Well-made bag, good for storing papers and other small objects (such as, tissues, keys, ign cards or other.)

I use this bag on my bike trips but also for short walks. The capacity is perfect to put the wallet, sunglasses, a snack, etc. It is perfectly waterproof and attaches very easily to all types of handlebars (I have several bikes with handlebars of different shapes).

Used in addition to the harness + bag, during a one-week gravel hike last July. Allows you to have everything you need close at hand (cereal bars, rain jacket, papers, telephone...100% waterproof (tested in driving rain conditions over miles!) Effective harness attachment system.

Really very practical

Bag great! Could even be a size bigger. I think the thing is too easy to attach solo, but the clips are there to attach directly to the bikepacking front harness - so the combination is recommended. I don't use the bag alone.

Both a bit of a gadget (I bought it to complete the range) and ultimately very useful and practical.

Decathlon is known for some excellent products and many other very average products. So unfortunately the Riverside handlebar bag. I bought it as an alternative to the most well-known handlebar bag brand from Heilsbronn, but it is not a replacement. It is significantly heavier, bulkier, unwieldy and generally harder to use. The roll closure is bulging, the click closure is sewn on crookedly. The inner pockets feel like cheap plastic. Especially in bikepacking, where every weight on the bike is crucial on long distances, this handlebar bag feels far too heavy. The product goes back.

Traveling for 3 months with the harness + bag + this Riverside pouch, we found that adding this to the harness greatly complicates the use of the set on a daily basis. Having to unclip the cover to access the large bag underneath, its clips are also quite small and have caused us a lot of inconvenience on mornings with frozen fingers... In the end, we have chosen to part with these covers for our next trip, we prefer to reorganize ourselves to recover these 3.5 liters elsewhere because the fact that this pocket prevents access to the large bag makes its inconvenience more important than its daily usefulness (moreover it is rigid and waterproof to such an extent that its weight seems too important to us to offer only 3.5 liters additional.) Otherwise it is solid of course, and its use only on handlebar is perhaps more practical. In our experience, on a long trip, we found the attachment system too restrictive for a globally unsatisfactory weight/volume/practicality ratio.

I use this bag in connection with the HARNESS HANDLEBAR BAG for my small items, which I would like to take with me to the beer garden, coffee, .... Handi, money, ... A great addition, especially in combination with the HARNESS HANDLEBAR BAG, since the handlebar bag is attached to the harness with just three clicks (three click fasteners).

This small bag is still very practical and of good resistance! It served me during my trip to put what I regularly needed in addition to my papers. Only drawback, the clips on the bag are placed too close to the handlebar clamps which rubbed against my handlebars. Result I had trouble attaching the clips, it was blocking my derailleur shifters and the clips were prematurely damaged... it would be necessary to be able to change the catchoucs (3 different sizes) of the handlebar bag according to our bike and have bigger metal clips...

Good product without the set, very resistant (even on a gravel outing in the mud!) Small problems: a little too small, and a pity that there is not a system to slightly offset it from the handlebars, it rubs a little hands when holding the gallows horizontally.

Just the right width for a gravel bike handlebar. By wrapping the opening of the bag, waterproofing and dry cargo storage, durable material and good reflectivity of the reflective coating are achieved. With the added strap, it can also be used as a shoulder bag when it is removed from the bike, 👍.
