Product Customer Reviews

It is a splendid beginner's bike to road cycling. Obviously it is not the lightest in the world, nor are the wheels wonderful (perhaps its weakest point), but for that price I highly doubt that you can find anything in 105, and the truth is that I have nothing against the Shimano Sora or against Tiagra, but 105 is another league. Geometry is ideal for beginners, or for older and/or mature people like me. In short, two years and some pedal happiness. By the way, if you change wheels the behavior of the bike improves a lot. For the users of my profile it would be a shame if it were removed from the Decathlon catalogue. Now what I wonder is why their carbon cousins have a much more aggressive geometry even though they are theoretically endurance bikes (if I'm not mistaken, the EDR and NCR have an identical geometry, and it is much more demanding than the this Triban).
A very nice bike, especially for people starting their adventure with the road, almost full 105 group, good brakes and the ability to change to gravel when the road is not your world, make it an extremely universal and versatile equipment. I highly recommend it, it's hard to find something better in this price range.
It came with two different tyres: 25mm front and 28mm rear
Wonderful racing bike for people who want the quality of a Shimano 105 and mechanical disc brakes, but don't want to spend too much money. Owned for 3 years now and driven more than 4000+ km. Original tires and parts still, no need to replace.
As a recreational cyclist for distances of 60-120 km I have been using this bike for 4 years now. Everything is still working fine. Only in the beginning have the switch of the front blades better adjusted at a bicycle repair shop. You probably pay 2-5x the price for the same functionality with disc brakes and quality with a branded bicycle.
I chose this bike to start road cycling. I thought I was going to avoid road traffic a bit to do some Gravel, hence the choice of this versatile bike. In the end, I only do tarred roads and I decided after a while to change the wheels, which are a drag on the behavior of this bike. Being a beginner I did not pay attention that the rear wheel has a 135mm axle (logical since they are in QR, now I know it…). In short I did not find ANYWHERE on decathlon the length of the rear axle. And all road disc wheels on sale today are standard 142mm. It took me 200km and a derailleur calibration problem to notice the problem, and understand the assembly difficulties. Unfortunately the wheels purchased (fulcrum, a brand widely used on other decathlon road bikes) cannot be converted to 135 at the rear. This is very disappointed, the design of the frame and the wheel attachment system seem totally outdated. Attention future users for wheel changes! And it is INADMISSIBLE that all the technical information is not provided. Thank you for thinking about beginners, I thought I made the right choice. Now I find myself with an unusable investment or at my own risk…
I have been riding this bike for 1 year now, about 4000 kms. It responds perfectly to my use, that is to say the versatility. I use it as much for commuting as for cycling on weekends, and even for bikepacking and gravel (I installed 35 wheels which go well with the frame). There were a few setup issues with the drivetrain and handlebars, but nothing major. Finally, I read a lot of reviews about the difficulty of changing tires on the original wheels. And yet... my first change was done in 15 minutes for two wheels, without difficulty! In short, in one word: Go for it!
Happy owner of this bike since 2019/2020, I mainly use it in commuting mode (luggage rack + mudguard + special luggage carrier backpack) I am more than satisfied with it after all these years. The only BIG negative point are the wheels: I've never had so much trouble changing my tyres/tube as with these wheels... I'm going to change them, because this weekend will have been the last straw : impossible to put on my new Pirelli Cinturato tires I'm going to go see a bicycle dealer for help, because I'm going to end up breaking something by forcing too much... But apart from this big negative point, I'm fully satisfied with my trusty two-wheeler and hope to take it for many more miles.
after more than 1 year and a half of regular use, I can only be satisfied with the purchase: used with satisfaction both on the road and gravel (I'm having fun on the stony ground though!) pro comfort, gearbox and cranksets (until now I've only lubricated, never happened that one of my bikes didn't need adjustments !) braking system: forget the mental saws, this brakes, and is easy to maintain / adjust against the handlebar pippet and spacers: fixed pedals, in plastic, do yourself a favor and with 20 € get an aluminum pair
I did my first 2 outings over several days with it and it was the perfect companion 700km the first time with 3 alpine passes 400km the second time in Ardéche the 2 plateaus allow you to climb the passes the brakes are hyper reactive it's stunning I, who was used to skates, the transmission is also great... and I already appreciate its versatility since I'm about to switch to 36 wheels for a new project of 900km off the beaten track in Norway this time...
Chosen to be used on my home trainer (Wahoo Kickr Core on Zwift) in the winter and gravel/cyclo the rest of the time as a relay on my racing bike. 100% satisfied with my purchase, very good value for money
First spoke broke on the rim being (threaded) within 2 months. In the store they sent me for a walk with a few new spokes, roads not under warranty? Now after 5 spoke breaks back looking for an original rear wheel, but not available at Decathlon
I've been riding this bike for almost three years now, and overall, I'm happy. Although it is somewhat heavy, it is capable of making quite long runs and regularly. It is your bike if you want to do a few routes, without competition, in a calm way. As a defect, the wheels are not too good. I have been riding a bike for a long time and have never broken a spoke. But in the last 6 months I have broken 3... And it's not that I have a stuck pedaling, rather the contrary, I like to go with a cadence and pedal lightly. I don't use it for gravel either, but for the road, so I don't think the wheel will suffer much. I don't know if it's the wheel, if it's defective or for another reason, but I don't go easy on it anymore.
Already 1200 km with this mount Hors put a problem on the rear wheel (8 HS spokes breakage of these during a descent) supported after "discussion" by the Sav for exchange of the wheel
