Super bike - only fine adjustments were not right

Very good value for money! Of course it's not the lightest, but I didn't expect that. It seems to me that you have to press the brake levers quite hard for it to brake properly, but maybe that's normal. I only have one real criticism: the fine adjustments of the gears weren't set correctly from the start, and so it didn't stay properly on the pinion in top gear when I pedaled hard. That was probably a sloppiness on the part of the Decathlon mechanics who put it together. So I had to have it adjusted again, which was annoying. But I would still buy it again.

versatility and good components

Versatile bike for those who do not want to give up the pleasure of the road without designing off-road

Great bike for those who are new to cycling and want a product that is better than an entry level. Shimano 105 11-speed gear shifter, super versatile. Very comfortable seat. Excellent value for money.

Comment

An excellent bike for those who are looking to start entering the cycling world, I definitely guarantee that you will not regret buying this model. Light, fast, does not require much servicing. I only bought a stronger set of lights from the equipment, everything else is great. Like the last review. It's worth every penny.

Ideal

I drove it for over 8,000 kilometers and nothing broke. It has withstood several drops and still works. After switching from over 16kg trekking to this bike, I felt a big difference. I rode it on routes over 240 km, so it works well.

A huge gap

Before having this one, I had a VTC for €250 which was 3 years old. So going over this one, it was night and day. So of course I can no longer go on stones, but I have added 10 km/h without effort to the average speed. It's impressive. I find the value for money unbeatable and the bike is really cool! The brakes are perfect and the gears/chainrings really good. On the other hand, checking the tightness of each part of the bike, I discovered quite quickly that my handlebars were not tight!!!

Good road bike

A good bike to start with, I especially recommend the accessories.

Not far from faultless!

I have been riding with it for 1 year (1 weekly outing + 1 Home trainer session). Hyper-versatile, robust, easy-to-handle bike... Frankly, the value for money is unbeatable. Small black spots on the transmission... after 6 months it starts to make noise... there dear Decathlon Friends... there is a small modification to make... I replaced the cassette with a Shimano (50€) and replaced the chain with a Shimano CN HG701-11... and perfect! Otherwise it was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spare parts supply zero...

I bought it in April 2021, I rode it for 15,000 kilometers over the course of 3 years, the bike itself would be worth that much in any way, but as soon as there is any problem with it, the black soup comes... It starts with the fact that the Decathlon service technicians have zero expertise, I took it for granted that it was not the rear brake says that there is no such pad, because the one we have doesn't fit, they can't replace it, I bought a pad elsewhere (it's the only one you can get for it, not in decathlon), it had to be removed a little from the wear layer and it fit... Over time after that the braking effect went away, I didn't even take it in anymore, I just changed it myself at home, it was fine for a few days, then it didn't start at all, I took it to the Decathlon service center in Dunakeszi, they changed the disc, the pad, I asked for the oil to be changed as well, then they called me to say that it was enough to change it the disc, insert. That's how it happened, I got it back at the end of the third bike ride and it didn't work at all, I had enough of the Decathlon workshop... I took it to a service center in Dunkesin to a young guy, he said out of the blue that the oil was leaking from the brake, of course he didn't have the part I was looking for because this brake is distributed by Decathlon and you can't get parts for it anywhere, there is a coupled saddle on Decathlon's website, but they don't give it out, only in the service department, I rather told you to replace it with a simple mechanical Shimano saddle, it was much better with it... And the real one joke came to this year.. the steering wheel clicks, clicks, gets stuck, it's true that I was at fault because I didn't take it immediately, I went for a spin with it a few more times. I took it to the mechanic again, he took it apart, he said that of course it's a custom size, it's only used for Decathlon bikes, 41.4 mm diameter, it's only in Decathlon, but it can't be ordered, I went to Dunakeszi and was told that they don't sell it, but I can take it to Hatvani replaced in the center. I took it to Dunakesi on April 20th, 6 days later they called me from the Hatvan service center to say that it was out of stock for a week and a half. It's been two weeks since then, nothing, I called the workshop back, they told me that it hasn't arrived yet and they don't even know when it will come... When I write this, it's May 20th and I haven't had the bike for a month, because they can't get a steering bearing yet for a model that is still available now... So this was my first and last Decathlon bike, and for these reasons I don't even recommend anyone to buy a bike here until they fix the fact that the supply of spare parts is zero...

Excellent bike at an excellent price, the bike is comfortable and smooth, it is definitely not a racing bike, but it slides discreetly, the gearbox is a unique watch, the wheels are broken, they broke 3 times and then I decided to change them

Very good

Good product, under €1000 with almost the entire transmission in Shimano 105 quality... It's very good. By adding 200 euros you can change the cassette / chain to 105 as well and have good tires, and here you are with a very good bike for less than 1200€. The only downside may be the mechanical-hydraulic hybrid system for the brakes, we can feel the drop in performance compared to a full hydraulic system. Bought in size L for 178cm, with handlebar and saddle height adjustments, it's very comfortable. Aesthetics frankly very beautiful too.

decent bike but questionable reliability

Satisfied with the bike and its smooth transmission, however after three weeks and two 50 km outings, a rubbing/creaking noise is heard when freewheeling, at the rear wheel and the cassette undulates with a strong amplitude. Back at the store, the very available and friendly salesperson attests to this problem, mentions a probable malfunction of the freewheel body and directs me to the workshop. The person who receives me, despite observing the abnormal movement of the cassette, requires me to make an appointment to establish a diagnosis with a deadline of 15 days. In another Decathlon store, the person at the workshop notices the problem and declares that the warranty must be used and the wheel changed. The problem is that it is not available, even on order. No loan or temporary replacement solution offered. So I have to wait, without the possibility of using an almost new bike, which is regrettable. In conclusion, Correct equipment but disappointing after-sales service

icon-circle-checkmark verified purchase
Very disappointed and no after-sales service

Purchased at the end of 2020, the results of this bike are very disappointing. Impossible to fit several tire models (+6 models tested with repairers, workshops, etc.). This handicaps me on a daily basis for every outing and every puncture is hell. I'm sorry but this is not at all serious on such an important element of the bike.

Excellent bicycle for cycle trips, recommended. Excellent and modular brakes, already tested on some descents. Unlike the cheaper classic mechanical disc brakes, already tested on another bike, they allow you to manage braking in a much more controlled way, avoiding the wheels locking when cornering and ending up on the ground. With the gears fitted you can easily tackle even rather steep climbs (10-15%) with a loaded bike, around 25kg. Another plus point is the 28" tires which make lean control easier and guarantee greater comfort and safety on dirt roads. PS: to improve control of the vehicle and increase the load capacity of the handlebar space, I recommend replacing it with that of the gravel model. (Bike purchased 2 months ago with approximately 360km under its belt)
