Purchased these bib shorts earlier in the year after reading reviews in cycling mags, great product with miles of comfort.
I brought these as an upgrade from my BTwin bib shorts and the pad is very comfy. I found it is was located quite low though, so not enough at the front to cover your tackle-not very attractive! What with my fellow riders also complaining that they could see my backside through the material as it is so thin, these shorts don’t leave much left to the imagination! Projecting seems also dug into my thighs during the ride and the material feels like it will tear when you pull them on, which judging by other reviews does seem to happen quite often. Wish I had read them before I purchased these as they are not cheap. Poor quality and a disappointment from Decathlon
I’m about to return my second pair of these due to them wearing out within weeks. As shirts for long rides they’re excellent, very comfortable and a good fit. Unfortunately, they seem to come apart or wear out. The first pair came apart where the mesh meets the main material of the shorts. The current pair have a hole in them and bobbling material after maybe 20 hours of riding. I would also As that the finishing of the stitching is not what you’d expect from top of the range shorts.
Had a pair of the 500 triban bibshorts and brought these to go for +60 mile rides as they had good reviews. I have had them 5 weeks and and already the stitching is coming away and the shorts are falling apart. Absolutely terrible quality for £53. Not happy with the purchase at all and looking to return for a refund once I work out how to do it as I purchased on line. On a positive they were more comfortable on the longer ride once you get used to the large pad.
Have worn these shorts 5 or 6 times now and one of the shoulder straps has developed a 20cm long split in the mesh material. The strap is also split where a short section is stitched into the bottom of the shorts The strap on the other side has a hole at the bottom of the strap which I expect would turn into a tear/split before too long. Not acceptable for basic shorts let alone the top of the range that Decathlon offer. Customer service system seems to be making a hash of my request on how to return these under warranty so a store visit will be required also.
After 3 months of riding the shorts well and truly fell apart. The edging on the straps came off and the mesh around the waist ended up with several holes in. The actual leg material is nice and the shorts are comfy, however they are very poorly made.
They're really comfortable, even for long rides up to 8-10 hours. The padding is just excellent. Can't find anything of this quality at this price
ordered these in confidence reading the reviews. The first time I've been out in them was this weekend, the overall ride was good, very comfy, and I'd have no complaints at.. however, these are poorly made. ive 2 WHOLES already!!!! 1 in the back, even before wearing them!!! where the stiching has already come loose. Also the material isn't the strongest, pulling them off me a little whole has also formed. I'd reccomend them comfort wise. but quality wise I'd run a mile. save your money and spend abit more on something abit more well made.
See through and cheap material. Only worn once and ripped already. I have had cheaper bibs that are much better than this.
The pad seems excellent. Some of the stitching on the seams is poor quality and will have to keep an eye on them to see if they irritate me or start to rip. This is a shame because otherwise these are excellent bib shorts.
I just received these today, as a size L (i am 6 ft tall and skinny) and they wouldn't even fit my 10 year old brother so be wary of sizing with these. Seem like great shorts so they might make a good present for your toddler
As far as the material and chamois goes, you won’t find any better anywhere less than £100. But, I’ve had mine 2 months and the stitching has started to come loose on the leg and has completely come away on the waist. Would I buy these again? Yes if if my frequency on cycling dropped below twice a week. If you ride 4+ times a week then I’d suggest paying for a more expensive brand with quality stitching.
Plain black shorts that will go with any jersey. Lycra is good quality and the pad is from Elastic Interface - very comfortable. The previous version of these shorts was excellent too. These are excellent even compared to shorts costing a lot more.
Hi there, I am looking to purchase more medium size bib shorts, could i ask when there will be more in stock?
Worn these a total of 90 miles now, so I can safely say they are very comfortable and work an absolute treat. You could spend hundreds of pounds on bib shorts that are no better.
