I bought this rope for my boyfriend as a late Christmas gift. As outdoor climbing weather has only just begun, we were sad to see it core shot due to some minor rock rub after only 5 pitches (some rock rub is normal in climbing, and generally causes abrasion to the outer sheath, giving the rope a fuzzy texture). The damage is in such a place that the rope must now be retired completely. I am now wondering if I should try this product again, or if saving, and opting for a more expensive and reputable brand would make more sense.

I am using this rope for lead climbing and doesn't found any issues yet. Belay wise also good.
The rope is so smooth exactly like what we needed. It's catch the fall so smoothly. Easy to carry and use. It's gives the positive vibe to the climber as we touch the rope we feel the make and durability. Easily goes in any type of belay This rope helps me to improve my climbing grade as it take care of my fall not giving me the rashes The length of this rope is perfect Go for it this one is the best (recommend - take care of the dirt for long life of the rope)
Best rope for climbing, as it gives comfort for climber as well as bellayer with its elastic nature. Soft catch is easily done with this rope. Has to be used with care as its very delicate.
It would not be a bad idea to give 1-3 pieces of welcrow along with the rope to manage and tie around, so that the rope does not get entangled when stored, like the paper roll you have around the rope.
Have been using this rope for about 6 months now. My first rope and it has seen a LOT of top-rope climbs and several leads. Holding up very well. Great price and a good product.

Washing your rope
It's important to properly care for your rope to reduce wear.As dirt wears ropes down, we recommend:1- using a rope cover;2- If the rope is dirty, wash it with clean, lukewarm water. Should stains persist and you want to wash it with soap, it is important to use a pH-neutral soap (such as Marseille/household soap) and then rinse thoroughly with clean water.3- Air-dry the rope out of the sun and away from all sources of heat.
Storing your rope
Ropes should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from light, humidity, and corrosive agents. Never leave ropes inside a car during summer, for example.
Checking your rope
It is important to check your rope regularly. To do so, run the rope through your hands and inspect it meter by meter along its entire length. This will allow you to spot any nicks, cuts, abrasion or weak points. If you notice any anomalies or irregularities, if the core is visible in certain places, if the rope is deformed or has exceeded its fall rating, it must be changed. Take safety seriously!
