Not Flat Yet

2 Months of winter riding and they've not failed yet. (Famous last words) Yes they are a little bit heavier than a normal tube and not as light as tubeless, but as a cheap alternative to tubeless, and save faffing on the trail with a puncture then they work perfectly well..

Not that great

Added these to my bike and on it's first ride at just below the tyres recommended psi did a small jump and when I landed it had a rear blow out and threw me off. Wasn't happy at all, luckily rims were not damaged, but could have been costly.

Thank you for taking the time to review these innertubes. Whilst they are effective at preventing small thorns and the like from leading to a puncture, they offer little protection against tyre pinching. We always recommend you follow the tyre pressure recommendations as stipulated by your tyre manufacturer. Looking at going down the tubelss route may be a more sensible option as this set up is particularly suited to preventing pinch flats.

Valve

I bought the inner tube but was a bit disappointed had when I got home I didn't have the correct fitting on the pump to inflate the tyre.

Patch it

Already bought one of these when fitting a new tyre to my partners bike, bought a second to fit when the requested tyre is in stock. First time tried these but you don't know until you try them, so far no problems with the first one I fitted, despite a couple hundred miles so far on thorn covered tracks, I think the ungraded tyre helps to.

Highly recommended tube.

I've had these tubes in for around 4 months now, had no trouble fitting and haven't noticed the extra weight as some people suggested I would. I am really enjoying going out with the club and not being the one with the punctures. I'm out several times a week over some rough terrain and I know there are several thorns that have gone in them but they are still fully inflated so very happy. Some say the downfall of these tube are that if they deflate and you need to repair you will probably find several punctures and you would have to repair them all before re inflating. My answer to this, if I found the tube had multiple punctures that needed repairing, for the sake of £3.99 I would just replace with a new one. If every set lasts over 4 months I'm more than happy with that.

Puncture protected tube

nice product but i dont like the long air valve

Terrible Product

I have always trusted decathlon's products blindly but this time I'm terribly disappointed It's hardly been a few hours since I installed the tube and inflated the tyre and the presta valve doesn't screw all the way down and keeps leaking air. All this is happening in spite of me tightening the screw for the inner tube. I have been cycling everyday for the past 9 years so I pretty much know how to use the valve. I have another road bike that I've been riding for 2 years and I've never had an issue with the valve. I'm extremely disappointed

How to choose your inner tube

Check the information indicated on the sidewall of the tire (diameter and width). For example, 27.5 x 2.00 means a tire with a 27.5-inch diameter that is 2.00 inches wide. On the tire sidewall, you will also find the dimensions in mm in ETRTO international units. For example, 50-584 means that the tire is 50 mm wide with a 584 mm internal diameter (approx. 27 x 2.00).

Removing an inner tube

Remove the old inner tube using B'Twin tire levers.

Checks to carry out before installing an inner tube

Check the condition of your tire and replace it if necessary. Make sure no objects are lodged in the tire. Check the condition of your tire rim strip. A rim strip that is even slightly bent can cause punctures. Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube

Mounting the inner tube

Watch our video before you start. Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching. Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rim. Put the inner tube entirely inside the tire so that it fits inside the rim. Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.

Mounting the tire

Start by mounting the tire onto the wheel on the opposite side to the valve. Finish mounting the tire at the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube. Never mount your tire with a screwdriver or a tire lever, as you risk pinching and puncturing the inner tube.

Inflating the tire

Inflate your tire carefully, to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tire sidewall in PSI or bars, 1 bar = 14.51 PSI). Regularly check that your tire is in the correct position as you inflate it.

Tip from the pros

To prevent any puncture from pinching and to achieve the best performance, we recommend checking and, if necessary, pumping up your front tire before each ride.
