We developed your jacket for intense wintry conditions: intense cold, snow, blizzard. The heat comes from thick padding (double layer on the body), which is a synthetic insulating component because of the air stored in its fibers. We added a wide quilted inner flap underneath the main zipper to stop cold air from entering. According to our laboratory test, conducted at -4°F, 100% of kids are in thermal comfort.

This jacket was designed with a waterproof outer component that prevents water and wind from getting inside (before washing: 2,000 Schmerbers at the hood, shoulders, and lower back, 8,000 Schmerbers at the chest). We designed your extreme cold jacket with a coating on the outer fabric to make it waterproof. We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components with a 2,000 mm rating can withstand the pressure of a 2,000 mm column of water, which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours.

Your jacket is completely waterproof thanks to its taped seams. The seams of a garment are made watertight by adding adhesive waterproof strips on the inside of the garment that prevent water from getting through these vulnerable areas. We have checked its waterproofing with a specially designed shower test to reproduce conditions under a 2-hour rain shower. We had it tested by kids on a hike to make sure it performed all the functions expected of it.

Practical and smart details: 2 outer pockets with flap, 1 secure inner pocket for storing your phone for example, 2 net inner pockets to store gloves, etc. The main fastening has a zipper pull, and the press studs have a thumb loop: Kids will be able to put on and take off their jacket without removing their gloves, and the same goes for you.

We designed this jacket with a comfortable fit so that it could be worn with a warm 2nd layer such as fleece or light down jacket. Its parka style makes it the perfect companion for winter hikes as well as for day-to-day protection from the cold.

To ensure the durability of our products, we perform tests on components: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colorfastness, resistance to repeated washing. It is preferable not to wash the faux fur of the hood. It is detachable so that it can be removed before putting the jacket in the machine. If really necessary, we recommend washing the fur by hand and then drying it in the open air.

To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle: Layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry. Layer 2: The 2nd layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outward. Layer 3: The jacket protects you from outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.

Care products: spray or liquid water-repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimize the garment's performance throughout its lifetime, we recommend using these products on every wash at a minimum.

To look after your product, we recommend closing the zips for washing. Machine wash at 86°F - normal cycle. Do not bleach. Can be tumble-dried on medium heat. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Always dry this garment thoroughly before storing it in a dry place away from light. Avoid using chemicals such as bleach, which could cause affect the garment’s color and thermal insulation.

This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. The product covered by the guarantee will be repaired or exchanged free of charge.
