Product Customer Reviews

The old version of these shoes were really good. Recently I purchased the new version and the front of the foot/ toe area is way too narrow.
This shoe has been amazing for the start of my climbing experience it is in a great price range for entry level, it has good grip and fits nicely but slightly lacks on comfort when initiating heel hooks and toe hooks, I am however climbing at a much higher level now and find the shoe to be lacking for the tougher grades.
Good shoes for the casual climber. Great value for the quality.
Premier mois d’escalade de bloc, et très satisfait de ces chaussons, qui sont parfaits pour leur prix
I think these are good beginner shoes. I have used them once, sockless, and some of the blue came on my feet, but other than that they were comfortable and I climbed well. I am just a beginner though, so I am not sure what I'd be looking for. I got a tight pair, but it didn't end up causing any pain in the 1.5 hours of climbing.
Hello Anna,
thank you very much for reviewing those climbing shoes.
We are glad to hear that you enjoyed them while climbing for an hour and half.
We are sure that you did amazing! Please let us know if your encounter any problem in the future.
See you again very soon and happy climbing!

After a month wearing these shoes 3 times a week, I find them comfortable but they leave my feet completely blue after climbing, the dye is wearing off and is quite hard to take off my skin. I still think they are great overall for the price.
These shoes are great to start off with. Got them not long after I started bouldering as I didn't want to keep paying for rentals but wasn't willing to get a more expensive pair quite yet. First off, definitely get a size down. I tried on a 6 and thought they were too tight so went for a 7 (which is my normal shoe size) which fit great initially. After you've worn them in and they stretch they won't be as snug as you need them to be, definitely get a size down. I've been climbing in them for about 3 months now, I go bouldering twice a week and have just started to climb some V2 routes. They were great up until recently, they've lost a lot of the grip they had before and I find I'm slipping a lot more and don't have as much grip as I did previously. I only bought them to start off with so they've definitely served their purpose, would definitely recommend if you're starting out or climbing between VB-V1, but I think passed V2 or if you're climbing regularly you definitely need a more durable pair
I have bought this when I first started bouldering 3-4 months ago. I wear size 3 shoes usually, when i tried size 3 on at first it fit quite tight and was really uncomfortable in store so I went for a size 4 which was perfect (without socks on ofc). After a few weeks it did stretch and ever since then it is only comfortable with socks on, I wish I would have went for the size 3! I have no issues with the sturdiness of it, it holds really well, the rubber is starting to rub off a bit but that is expected. As I started to climb V3 and V4 routes I do feel like I need better shoes, but that was expected as well. Overall great shoes to start with, happy with this purchase.
Comfortable and pretty tough so far.
Great
They are only good for very beginner routes e.g. V0 - V1, any more advanced and they don't hold well, they are very slippery and I keep slipping off the holds and bolsters.
Comfort my son very like it
Hi Padam, thank you for the 5-star rating of our store. We hope to see you back in store very soon for all of your sporting needs.
Hector
These were decent price point for an entry shoe, they fit nicely and the Vibram sole is fairly sticky. But having climbed in them for a few months, the upper has started really twisting on my foot, which causes a fair amount of pain through the toes when climbing. Can't figure out if it's the upper that has stretched, or the Velcro has lost it's stick. I think the latter as they're fine at the start of the session but twisting towards the end.
Bargain
This was my very first climbing shoe and I have used these for 3 months. I intended to purchase these to test the waters of the hobby, and they are extremely good for this purpose. They have thicker rubber and extra padding when compared to the more expensive, advanced level shoes. Unsurprisingly, as a beginner, you are not climbing as efficiently as an advanced climber would, which means you're often bashing your foot against the walls, and taking foot holds quite aggressively. These are extremely well designed to protect you from these otherwise painful, novice mistakes, until you get better :) Other pros of these shoes are the quality of rubber, the amazing convenience of the Velcro straps and overall comfort. My street size shoe is a UK 9 (EU 43), and I purchased these shoes in UK 9.5 (EU 44) as they were more "comfortable" for me at the time, as climbing shoes can often feel tight. They do stretch a bit (as with EVERY other climbing shoe - even advanced level ones), so in hindsight, I would purchase a size 8 (EU 42), even if they do feel rather tight initially, they quickly stretch out. Overall: Buy this shoe if you're a beginner.

Sizing recommendations
For beginner climbers, we recommend choosing a shoe the same size as your normal size. They should feel tight without hurting. If you are a climber working to improve your skills, you can buy them tighter (1 size below normal, for example), but it's important they don't hurt, so that your foot can develop mobility, proprioception, and strength. You will also enjoy climbing more.
Care instructions
Our first tip is to never machine wash your shoes. Thermal and mechanical pressure could damage them. We recommend that you wash them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseille soap), being sure to air-dry them at a stable temperate and avoid drying them on a radiator or in full sunlight. We recommend washing them regularly to increase the life span of the shoes.
Resoling tips
The sole bushing wears out quickly when climbing. For regular climbers, the life of the bushings is generally 6 months to 1 year. This depends on many factors (type of rock or resin, climbing style, types of routes, etc.). As soon as you see the synthetic leather through the bushings, you must get them resoled. If you pierce the synthetic leather, resoling will be difficult. Our Decathlon workshops offer resoling services to extend the life of your shoes.
