First time i bought shoes for cycling

Can't compare them to other brands but these work well for my needs!

Good but not quite as walkable as made out

These are good but they are not quite as walkable as made out. You couldn't go for a cycle then a long walk, they feel a bit unstable but they're fine for cycling and doing the shopping, or something like that. The for is a bit bigger than other shoes of the same stated size. But they are pretty good.

Good value less aggressive spd

Good points: stiff sole, ok power transmission, not too heavy, resistant to windchill, hoping upper will be durable, ok to walk in, styling is nice and understated. Needs more work for next version: Lacing layout is poor tight toes with poor foot retention, elastic cross piece incorrect length and placement, could be more cleat adjustment, could be more less hard rubber on sole, what is going to happen when cycling in the rain no drainage and padding will hold on to water?

Go and Try Them On

I bought them online and if I'm honest they are probably just a little too long. Try them first

Alright Shoes but careful on the sizing

Bought these shoes and they look quite well and feel that way as well. Only issue was the sizing - I'm a UK 8 but the size 8 was too big for me so I had to return them and get a UK 7 but the staff was very friendly and just brought me a size smaller so no issues there. These shoes are quite airy so your foot doesn't get sweaty or anything and the laces are great for cutting down cost and also in terms of adjustment. Overall I'd say these shoes are quite good, but If I could change one thing it'd be the counter (the part that supports the heel and back of foot in general), they feel a tiny bit loose.

RC500 cycling shoes

This is how my second pair of these excellent shoes. A nice wide fit with a very short bedding in period. Very hard wearing and easy to walk in. A nice stiff sole keeps things secure and comfortable even when climbing out of the saddle. The only real downside is the laces could do with being a little longer. Apart from that a superb budget pair of shoes.

My First Cycle shoes

I would have given a 5*. The right shoe is perfect, very comfortable, roomy and easy to put on. The left foot has a small piece of material on the inside at the top by the big toe that rolls back when putting the shoe on, this then digs into the top of the big toe when riding. The right shoe I give 5* and give 1* for the left shoe, that how I came to 3*. I only bought the shoes today.

Great Value

I bought these for use during winter as I was fed up with my road cleats becoming gummed up. The shoes fit well and look good too. They are light weight and can be used with road bike type toe covers to keep your feet warm. Used for about 300 miles riding so far and very pleased with my decision to purchase them.

Good fit with thickish socks

Exceeded expectations, would buy again.

Look more expensive than their true cost Comfortable, decent quality. Why pay three x as much for a pair?

Incomplete Product

These are nice looking shoes and fit well. My complaint is that there are no cleats included which may be normal practice, however there is an 'often purchased with this product section' which doesn't include mention this nor does it suggest them. I now have to purchase them separately and pay another postage !! Very irriitating .

Perfect for what I wanted

I didnt know you could get light weight mtb spd shoes as I always bought road shoes. With a new gravel bike I wanted shoes I can walk on Having researched for weeks and budget going high I came across these and am so glad I saved the money . They are perfect no need to spend hundreds on fancy shoes. The most important is the ability to walk on multi surface without slipping or looking like a duck. I am a size 42 and they were the right fit for me unlike others where you have to buy a size bigger. I put on thick winter socks so tight but not uncomfortable

SPD road shoes

I sometimes need to walk in my shoes so road cleats are out for commuting. I was looking for something with a road aesthetic but suitable for SPD cleats. Surprisingly difficult until I came across these. I'd like a BOA tightening system to make them perfect but they're great especially at the price

Product testing

We made no concessions when testing these RC500 shoes. We approved each component in the lab and chose them for their quality of use. But that wasn't all. We also got numerous testers to put the shoes through their paces on the road. This included some legendary road races (Paris-Roubaix, Tour des Flandres, the Ardéchoise, etc.) as well as lunchtime and weekend rides and gravel rides (RocOrigin83, Gravelxinoise, etc.).
