Did keep feet warmer in Atlantic coast in Cornwall in August.
Used in about 10 degrees Celsius, kept the water out and my feet very warm. Kicking felt odd for a minute or two but then didn't notice.
Brought these to protect my drysuit feet. Fit well and easy to get on and off again
Good service and products as always from the company
I absolutely love these with my previous make the water penetrated immediately however with these my feet were still warm and reasonably dry at the end of my swim, very comfortable to wear as well as they don't absorb the water they don't feel heavy as you swim,
I have never swam in socks/ bootees before as I thought they would make it much more tricky. As I need to walk to the start of the swim in my kit and then back later on, thought I ought to buy something to protect my feet. These are fabulous. Feet were comfortable, didn't really know they were there except my feet were warmer! Fabulous stuff.

When we are in the water, we lose more than half of our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). Consequently, here are the recommended accessories: - in warm water and temperate water (>63°F) => neoprene low booties. - in cold water (54 - 63°F): High booties (boots) and gloves. - in very cold water (44 - 54°F): High booties (boots), gloves, hood and hooded top ... The 1st selection criterion when choosing a surf boot is the water temperature. Water temperature varies according to the location and the time of the year. Systematically make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Warm water above 68°F. Temperate water between 62 and 72°F. Cold water between 53 and 62°F. Very cold water between 45 and 54°F. Visit the site seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
Surfing socks should be a very tight fit to ensure the best possible thermal efficiency. It is perfectly normal for it to feel like they are too tight when tried on dry. Choosing well-fitting socks ensures a better fit and prevents them swelling with water in use.
The 3 mm surf socks are made of neoprene to ensure better thermal insulation. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 3 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our neoprene materials.
We chose a thin and light polyurethane sole to favor contact and sensations with the board. Therefore, this sock is not suited to long approach walks: in such a case, choose the 3 mm Surf boot.
The seams are stitched and glued for a watertight seal and durability. The seams are "blind-stitched". The thread does not pass all the way through the neoprene, so water can't get through. The absence of threads on the inside avoids irritation and chafing. Patches for comfort and reinforcement are strategically placed on the inside in sensitive areas.
Our surf booties are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, sea wading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding). These surf socks, however, are not suitable for windsurfing.
