Surfing 1-Piece Swimsuit Himae Fidji

Surfing is one of your favorite sports and you surf regularly in warm water. During your sessions, you paddle out to the line-up and either duck dive or turtle roll, depending on whether you are on a shortboard or a longboard. You often wipe out and you are used to being thrown about underwater. You want your swimwear to stay in place with each of your movements and not get in your way when paddling.

The BETTY crop top swimsuit provided the inspiration for the HIMAE, creating a series of suits for teens throughout adolescence. The 1-piece swimsuit is perfect for young surfers. It protects the surfer from skin irritations and wax. It’s open back allows for optimal free of movement when paddling. Its feminine and sport design keep it in place in the waves.

We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of female surfers with different body shapes who will follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.

To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. The swimsuit needs to fit snugly against your body in the fitting room, you should feel supported. The spandex contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.

A pad is a piece of foam that can be inserted into the swimsuit. It gives teens the option of an extra level of modesty. Interviews and observations have shown us that it’s not always easy for girls to accept their bodies during this time in their lives. The pads keep them from revealing more than they want to when the swimsuit is wet. The pads are removable, leaving it up to the wearer whether to leave them in your take them out.

This product has been tested in use in Hendaye and has been subjected to numerous laboratory tests to guarantee the quality of use for which it was designed: tests on the fabric's elasticity and strength, colorfastness when rubbed, washed, exposed to sea water, chlorinated water and light, and tests on the product's overall performance after several washes.
