Love it ! The perfect addition to my collection.

For my new role as a Bikeability cycling instructor I needed a folding bike. Great value, only 1 kg more than the Brompton and a far comfier ride. Very pleased indeed 😁

Lightweight Superleggera Style

Price value for £400 it's decent compared to the likes of Brompton bikes which are often triple the price this is a bargain and does the job fairly well in all apsect although the only point I give away would be the folding mechanism which I don't see on alternative cheaper brands can come close to Brompton bikes. Nonetheless, This Top Range BTWIN Foldable Bike is definitely a worth it. Good Part, 8 or 9 Gears which are makes it effortless up the hill and smooth down the hill, at the red lights its pretty light so you get a good headstart compare to other lightweight/professional bikes, Top Speed of the bike is decent I can keep up with majority of bikers and sometimes overtake. Comfortabilty, it handles bumps well and the seat has a nice pad but it could do with those extra padded cover. Daily Cycling / Commuting this is fine. Not so good but expected parts As a foldable bike don't expect it to be agile than normal bikes as it's sometimes awkward if you turn suddenly or swing into sharp bends but it's controllable. The Foldable Magnet its 50/50 sometimes it connects but I often find it coming loose if you are pushing it while folded. front lights is good as a back up and I believe it needs to be removed to charge (haven't find the time to do so as I don't have the correct tools to unscrew but I don't think it would be hard to charge or replace) this goes for the same with the rear lights kinda even more useless as its so located at the bottom. Overall this bike was a great purchase I'm super please expecially coming from an Argos Foldable Bike the CRF300 < which snapped and completely broke now which I can't be bothered to get it fixed and glad I got this bike as it's replacement/upgrade. Hopefully this last longer than 1 year. I've had it for 3 months now and nothing went wrong atm fingers cross.

Very good bike

Overall is a very good bike but it could be better, in my opinion it should have less speed gears as it's not a bike made for speed (it becomes little unstable if going to fast) and more at least 1 more gear to go up hill and when folded the magnets don't really do a good job. I still recommend it for anyone looking for this kind of bike. I do 10 km everyday going and returning from work, I like it.

Beats the competition...

I did a bit of market research which involved riding my full-sized bike up to people with foldable in various parks 😅and striking a conversation in the train platform with peeps who had a foldables. I'm glad I got the decathlon btwin 900. I went in store with the intention to buy the £250 model (as per the person I researched. I trusted his expertise, he was a reliable character and has 6 bikes which included a Brompton and foldable OXYLANE) But after comparing the weight difference with 14.5kg and this 12.2kg. That's equiv. to saving on carrying 2.3li of water. I also carry a lot of kit for my work which requires a lot of stairs, so I thought it was worthwhile lightening my load by shaving 2.2kg off the bike. I carried the folded bike 3x up and down 3 flights of stairs in one day as the darn lift in the apartment block I'm staying at was out of service. It was no problem. I've worked out a way to carry the folded bike against my side body and hold the handlebar. Neat. A big selling point was the 9 gears and 20" wheels which makes for a more comfortable ride. I did also consider a Brompton but the starting price point is £850 for a basic 3gesr and is much heavier. I also didn't want to be tied down with having to only go to a Brompton outlet to service it. I wanted something I could do myself, I fi had a flat etc. Also the 900 model had better higher quality parts and I like the finish and its well rounded and easy to erect in 3 very simple steps that takes 10 seconds. Out of curiosity, #FOMO. I went to Halfords to check out their intercity commuter one which is the equivalent for £375. No contest. It was a terrible bike. Really clunky, I was fighting with the hinges to extend or fold bike. Not at all ergonomic. Quite concerning that I really struggled with the hinge to fold or extend the bike (maybe the display one was faulty), which meant I couldn't test ride it. But the look and feel told me all I needed to know. (I'm a regular bike commuter for the last 17yrs) The pedals were also big and clunky. Also it didn't have a stand to rest in when folded. A big design flaw if you ask me as the bike cassette ends up resting on the ground which would damage this mechanical piece. The Halfords guy said you rest it on the kick stand but what about when you need to store it on the train or on the platform. So after further investigation, I'm really happy with my btwin 900 and I'm keeping it. No FOMO here ☺️🤩👌🏼😎 The £250 one is also very good if you know you don't have regular stairs to navigate on. Carlos the bike mechanic in Wandsworth Town was really helpful, friendly and patient which helped make my purchase happen.

BTWIN 900

Have looked at other folding cycles I glad to have purchase the BTWIN 900 and am enjoying the experience

Great commuter!

I bought this bike as a commuter in London. I typically cycle 5 miles each way. The bike is steady, quick and fun; it is a plus that it can easily fold up for the train.

Tilt 900

Experienced road cyclist, I purchased the Tilt to allow me to discover new areas to cycle, can put in the back of the car or take on train. A different ride to a regular cycle, more upright and very positive steering. I have rode almost 200 miles over 6 weeks. In my opinion this is a great bike, comfortable, gears are perfect with a wide enough range, was impressed with the Sora shifter. The magnets are poor at holding the bike together so I use a small strap. Great cycle and one that I would definitely recommend.

Very happy

Brought a folding bike and it was a very smooth process and great experience

Unsafe

Used once for 4 miles, handle bars came loose as well as back wheel. Luckily I had a quality multi tool with me and was able to tighten everything up but lost faith in the bike. Only thing I was happy with is the refund.

Good value folding bike

After a few weeks of use this bike has proven to be fun to ride, brakes good, seems robust. Bit skittish but all folding bikes like that with the small wheels. Magnets aren't very good at holding it closed but thats not a problem if you are just taking it in and out of the boot

Overall very hapy, just a few minor niggles.

I've had this bike for two weeks now and am very happy. It is my first time on a folding bike and was skeptical having always ridden a full-size hybrid. PROS: - Quick folding - can be done in 10s. Handbars, frame, seat, peddles. - Light and fast! I'm much faster on this bike than I was on my "proper" previous bike The combination of lightness, and decent gearing ratio means I easily keep up with the lycra-clad carbon-frames, on my commute. CONS: - Front and rear lights are woeful. The concept is good, integrated at the front and sufficiently secure as to be safe from theft at the rear. But they are flimsy and provide little useful light. Good as a backup only. - As others have said, you may find your handlebars slightly off-centre. This can be fixed by loosening the two screws at the base of the handbar hinge and adjusting. - No paniers as standard and the placement of the screw-holes under the seat post (aligned on top rather than the side) mean the bike is compatible with a limited range of paniers. - Peddels feel a little odd to me, as if they are slanted downwards. - Steering has some slight flex and the narrowness means steering can be quite touchy. But to be expected. - The magnetic joins to keep the bike folder are weak. Another mechanism (or attaching velcro as other's have recommended) would be better. - Front mugduard could do with extending a bit further forward. In wet conditions water can spit up in to wind and is carried upwards towards the cyclist. Despite the list of cons, I a very happy with the bike and they are minor niggles. I didn't expect to like the bike but am very impressed and it looks good.
