Good around runners

My second pair of these. I'm impressed with the construction and longevity. After a good amount of kilometres on road and off nothing has come unstuck and the inside of the heal cup has not worn through. Good wide fit, performs as advertised.

Impressive for the money!

Very impressed with the comfort and grip of this shoe! On a par with shoes costing much more. I have about 150 miles of walking on them.

Surprisingly brilliant!

I have some expensive Altra trail shoes which I really don't like using on tarmac, and a lot of my runs involve at least a short road section, if not more. I really didn't want to spend ÂŁ140+ on a second pair though, so I thought I'd try these. I went for the men's as they are noticeably wider than the ladies' version. They felt good in the shop but it still felt like a bit of a gamble buying such a cheap shoe. However I am extremely impressed and in fact have been choosing these over my Lone Peak's for every run since I got them. They are nicely cushioned for tarmac and hard-packed trail, good grip for mud and grass. I did try them in the snow we had last week, and once I got to higher elevations where the snow was a) deeper and b) icier they began to struggle, and for those conditions in future I would revert to my Lone Peak's. They are also slightly less water resistant and I don't get quite the toe-spread as I do with my LP's so perhaps also wouldn't be the shoe of choice on very unstable ground. However for the bulk of the type of running I do these are ideal and I'm really pleased I took the gamble.

Crosscountry running

I've used these on several runs of around 20 miles, all crosscountry and this time of the year very muddy. The cushioning is pretty good as is the general standard of construction and the soles grip well even in these conditions. For serious running events I will revert to Hokas as their cushioning is superlative, especially when the ground is hard. However for shortish runs these are fine. I don't run on roads so I can't advise whether or not the cushioning would be adequate but I think they would be fine for shorter distances. It is too early to tell how well they will wear but to date there is very little sign of degradation. It is a shame they are now 'end of line' but hopefully they will be replaced by something similar in performance.

Really good for long walks

It has been almost a year with these shoes and I am very satisfied with them. I use them for a long walks 30km - 60km on mixed terrain: concrete, mud, rocks, trails and in all type of weather summer walks, rain and occasional ice and snow. They are very comfortable and lightweight. No blisters or injuries during use. Sole seems to be stiffer and harder than in previous evadict shoes that I wore but probably due to its hardness they last longer on hard road. Things to improve: water removal from the shoe, it is difficult to shake off water from the shoe due to high protective band on the front of the shoe

Fantastic pair of multi terrain shoes

I've been buying my running shoes from Decathlon since 2017. Always very pleased with the fit, quality and design, but i was struggling to find a show for muddy tracks, grass, and road. Then I slipped these on and boy am I a pleased. Done over 300 miles now in these, Perfect fit and no rubbing since day 1 (even in the very hot July in 2021 irrespective of the course length. I love the way the laces tuck into the tongue. I have quite literally been running in thick gloopy mud, and as soon as I strike the tarmac, these grip instantly. Faultless, nothing I would change about them (but maybe they could do another colour for the mens show as well :-) Well done the Decathlon team for an outstanding shoe

Additional Product Information

Composition

Outer sole of: 56.0% Synthetic Rubber, 44.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate ; Upper of: 60.0% Polyester, 40.0% Polyurethane ; Lining and sock of: 100.0% Polyester

A comfortable and multi-purpose evadict trail running shoe designed to optimize the comfort and pleasure of running

Its extreme versatility makes it a perfect compromise between comfort, traction, cushioning, and flexibility. The sock liner is specially designed with as few seams as possible and with components that optimize low weight, durability, support, and flexibility. The collar of the shoe facilitates foot entry while providing freedom of movement and reducing friction.

Find out everything about the tr2...

Lightweight shoe (10.6 oz in size 9)Recommended for trail runners weighing up to 200 lbs.The rubber sole's 4 mm lugs provide an excellent compromise between traction and grip (new rubber and adapted design), making it versatile for use on trails as well as on asphalt sections, without creating any discomfort.Stone guard at the front and rear for protection on off-road terrain.

Flex-h technology and beveled heel (heel roll)?what does it mean and what does it do?

Flex grooves located at the forefoot.During the propulsion phase, the metatarsal-phalangeal joint provides a flex zone as well as being the main contact point for the foot. Our design teams therefore added flex grooves to either side of this joint to facilitate the foot motion without causing any discomfort. The heel was specially beveled to optimize and facilitate the roll-through of the foot.

What's the cushioning like?cs with pad (pu foam) + kalensole: for cushioning on asphalt as well as on trails.

Kalensole is an EVA foam pad used in the midsole. An exclusive composition that delivers the following benefits:=> superior cushioning (34%) and energy return (+25%)=> improved stability in outdoor temperatures=> greater durability The CS (”Circular System”) is provided by an air hole in the foam padding at the heel. This disperses the shock wave more effectively and more evenly in this area of the foot. We added a durable and spongy PU (polyurethane) PAD in this hole.

The k-only technology lets this running shoe adapt to the surface and to your stride.

K-Only is an exclusive EVADICT technology whose denser foam located under the first metatarsal makes our trail running shoes suitable for every stride type.

What is the drop and how much drop does the tr2 trail running shoe have (mm)?

The DROP of a shoe is the difference in sole height between the front (forefoot) and the back (heel). The shorter the DROP, the more natural the foot movement. The DROP of the TR2 running shoe is 8 mm.

An evadict shoe that has been tested and approved in real-life conditions covering about 10,000 km (6,200 miles)!

Our TR2 shoes were developed with the help of trail runners. These testers put our prototypes to the test over several months. It was only after numerous laboratory tests, and especially a series of ”long-term” tests under real-life conditions covering about 10,000 km (6,200 miles), that the product was validated by the trail runners themselves.

A final word of advice before running?

Here is the advice of Annabelle, our product engineer, and Cyrille, our product manager:”The most important thing is that you enjoy your trail runs. Build them up gradually so you don't cut any corners – opt for regularity. Don't forget to take in the scenery and the places you are running in...”

Product testing

This shoe has been tested on a wide range of distances and terrains by many male and female runners. The shoe has also undergone a series of mechanical tests in the lab.

Storage instructions

Hand-wash. Do not machine wash.We recommend stuffing your shoes with newspaper between running sessions in order to maintain your trail running shoes and to absorb any residual humidity.
