Product Customer Reviews

*** First Impression I bought this backpack in a sale for $50, and for that value it was a terrific deal. The backpack materials and manufacturing is of excellent quality. No loose threads or defects found. Straps are uncomfortable and difficult to setup for taller people but they work. I bought this pack for dual purpose, most of time it will carry my camping gear when I go camping, and from time to time I will use it for traveling both locally or internationally. Cons: - There is no way to hide the shoulder straps, I wish I could do that in case I need to check the bag in. - The straps are incredibly uncomfortable, I used the pack for ~10min when I received it and the next day I woke up with sore shoulders. (Make sure you get used to this backpack before going on a trip or hitting a trail, similar to breaking in a pair of shoes). - The straps are fixed and hard to setup for taller people, I'm 5"11 and the waist strap sits about 1-2 inches above my waist. I wish I could adjust it. - Sternum strap sits really high at its lowest setting I wish I could lower it ever more. - The "shoe" bag included at the bottom of the pack gets in the way and it makes difficult to use the space at the bottom of the pack even when it is not in use. - The so called "laptop" sleeve is more of a "laptop destroyer" compartment since there is a curved aluminum pole behind it, and it will surely put a lot of pressure on anything that is put in it. Do not put valuable electronics in this sleeve.
Exceptionally sturdy, packs neatly. Material has absolutely no give at all which forces you to go minimal, but hey you don't buy a 40L if you don't know that already. With straps fully extended the space between the bag and the top flap was enough to hold a tent. Slightly on the heavy side, so hiking with it might result in better leg strength. There are other 40L packs that weigh 800g, but are twice as expensive and not even half as sturdy, so weight is a trade-off. Included rain cover is a winner; would have been better if it too was black. The strap side of the bag is a bit messy compared to the front which is super clean. Zips, straps and locks are very well done and seem like they will last. Good value for the price.
Day pack , picnic hike or overnight stay perfect
We bought several of these backpacks for a two-week family trip. Lots of room for everything and easy to organize the packing space. Really liked the zippered pockets on the waistband to keep keys, money etc close at hand and secure. Weight is well-distributed when fully buckled and comfortable to hike with. Only used for one trip so far but as long as the fasteners hold up over time I would definitely recommend this product!
Light bag and good size to use as carry on
Fantastic product carried very heavy things in it and is holding up great lots of pockets and never had any back pain
I took this backpack travelling around Europe for 4 months and was really happy with it. Pretty sturdy and with an nice padded waist strap which is hard to find in a 40l, but still compact and small enough for hand luggage on most airlines. The clamshell opening made it easy to manage in hostels etc, and it fitted the forclaz packing cubes nicely. There are better backpacks out there but for the price I would highly recommend this one!
Excellent for the DofE 10 mile hike. Got plenty of room for everything needed and the 2 openers is a great idea, no more emptying the bag to get something from the bottom!
Literally couldn’t find anything better for light or short term travelling! Opens up like a suitcase on the back which makes life soo much easier! As it’s smaller it is accepted as hand luggage which makes travelling so much quicker and cheaper!
Want to add my praises to this backpack while packing for my 3rd trip with it (1x5 days, 1x5 weeks and 1x3 weeks). This is the perfect carryon backpack for traveling. It never amazes me just how much I can fit in it and well thought out (shoe bag, easy laptop and wash bag access for security). The only thing is it's not the comfiest- fine for tackling cobblestones for an hour or so but I won't recommend it for hiking/trekking. May be it's my packing but I find it challenging to get the back completely flat, a whole day hiking with something random sticking in your back is really not great!
I’m really pleased with the rucksack. It is perfect as carry on luggage for flights, whilst maximising capacity. It easily held what I needed for a 2 week trip, was not too bulky or heavy for travelling around. It was comfortable on the back and distributed the load well with the hip belt. It is an unusual design, which I found it good for both access and security.
It’s texture is sturdy, and maintains posture. It is very heavy though.
Great quality backpack and great size too. I'm using the closest storage area closest to the straps for a 2litre water bladder but can't see that there is a hole through for the water pipe from the water bladder. Is there one that i can't see?
Fit perfectly to Ryanair cabin bag. Good value for money
We went trekking in Albania mountains. This backpack was perfect for me as it wasn't too big but it carries all the necessary things inside. My backpack weighted about 7kg and still it felt light as you can adjust it so that it feels as part of your whole body. Great product.
