With the "3-in-1" system, the jacket will be ideal for cold conditions (down to 14°F) and for hot weather trips, because you can leave the inner layer at home and wear the rain jacket by itself. You can also wear the down jacket by itself as a mid layer over a T-shirt and a sweater. With just one jacket, you get 3 options!

We test our fabrics in the laboratory based on various criteria including abrasion resistance. To replicate the friction caused by the backpack straps, we perform a standardized Martindale test, which involves rubbing the material of the jacket against another abrasive material.The aim is to measure the point at which the product starts to become worn and the pilling begins. The jacket easily passed the test, reaching 20,000 cycles, which is above the average for the other jackets on the market.

The jacket was also subjected to single rip tearing tests. The aim is to reproduce in a laboratory the effect of your jacket snagging on something outdoors and being ripped. Using this test protocol, we make sure the fabric doesn't rip any further after a hole is made in the fabric, so that it can still protect you for years to come.

The fill power of the down gives it 3 important qualities during your travels: - Thermal insulation provided by the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra low weight: Down is lighter than synthetic fill while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible

The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. It is expressed in in³ (cubic inches). So, down with a higher fill power (higher in³ number) will occupy more space, trap more air, and provide greater thermal insulation. This inner down jacket has a guaranteed fill power of 660 in³ (European standard) or more.

Our traceability system allows us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers are committed to sourcing down humanely, using plumage from waterfowl that have undergone no undue harm.We obtained the RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certification from an independent body as a result. This jacket was first tested in the laboratory, on a whole set of factors (warmth, waterproofing, durability). It was then tested by a small panel of users, at the heart of our global development center, to assess the comfort, fit, and practical features. Finally, it was validated in the field by volunteer-customers and users, as part of a test mission, just like a large number of Decathlon's products (check out our website)
