Domyos 1.5mm Travel Yoga Mat

I purchased this mat because with another model I kept slipping when doing some particular asanas. It's spartan, quite light and easily folds in many ways. Ideal to bring with you at work if you have yoga later and doesn't take up too much space. I don't get why some people complain so much about the rubber-y smell: it clearly says that it is 100% natural rubber therefore what are you expecting? The parfume of lotus blossoms in an Indian temple?

I saw another person in class with this type of thin mat and thought that I would give it a go. It smells of rubber and is rough against your skin, however, my hands still slip in down-dog. Easier for balance postures as it is thin and can add a gym mat for cushioning when needed. Not nice against my face in child's pose. It's quite heavy and rolls up nice and tightly small. Grey not beige! Would have liked to be able to have tried before I bought it!

I wish I had paid more for travel mat ( somewhere else ) I know this company in france ...cheap ...you pay cheap you get cheap I was kind off talked into buying this mat with the point off if I don’t like it I can bring it back for money back ... I couldn’t test in shop and no tester on show .. when I unwrapped it it was marked it’s very slippery there’s no grip and smelly ... so know on my only day off I willl have to go back and try to get money back .. The assistant even told me oh you can get your money back in france let’s see I don’t hold much hope

It's far too thin, smells like rubber and it gets so dirty so easily. I was constantly wiping it down. It doesn't have the grip a normal yoga mat does. I haven't given it 1 star because I have unfortunately seen worse. It's so heavy and only rolls up, that it adds to your luggage weight. Unfortunately because it only rolls, you can't take it as carry-on luggage. Rather than lugging it back from my retreat, I left it there. I wish I had bought one of those foldable yoga mats instead. A waste of money.

I practice Iyengar yoga and the mat is great overall. You may want additional padding for laying down though as the mat is thin. I chose it for its lightness and I like the rubber feel which also ensure a good grip during asanas.

This mat is a little longer than most, I'm 5'10 and it's plenty big enough. I like the thinness of it compared to normal mats. It's very grippy too and rolls up much more compact than a normal mat. Also comes with a little carry cord, and also some other cord bit with disks of the material in each end which I've no idea what they are for. It's a bit heavier than a normal mat but that doesn't bother me. Defiantly recommend!

Light to carry and non slip.

This mat is very light and didn't stay put when used outside; a bit of wind would lift it up. It also shows shoeprints easily and was hard to clean.
