I love this gillet! Is really comfortable, lightweight, nice length, neck well-covered, and also looks great! I bought it one week ago and I'm wearing it everyday. Defnitely good value for money.
This was a gift & was just what she was looking for
Three years ago I bought one of these gilets as an impulse buy when I visited a store. It became a complete staple, great for a warm layer on a chilly spring evening, great for travelling on a plane, an extra layer under a winter coat or something to sling into a rucksack on a country walk. I was soooo distressed when I lost it. Husband dutifully bought me an alternative which just did not match the original, and I pined for it every time I put on the inferior replacement. So, I grasped the nettle and bought a new one and happiness has returned to my household!!

perfekt zum wandern - man hat die Arme frei und der Rest ist schön eingepackt
Sehr leichte gut wärmende Weste. Toller Stehkragen so dass der Hals gut geschützt ist. Weste wurde von mir bei Temperaturen um 6-10 Grad plus getragen und ich fand sie angenehm warm. Dank der leichten Textur kann ich die Weste unter meiner Winterjacke und Übergangsjacke tragen.

Technical information on the fill
We use 100% polyester fill (70% recycled) weighing 4.4 oz/m² in the body and 3.5 oz/m² in the sleeves and hood. The fill is made from silicone-coated spiral fibers that make it highly compressible and highly durable. Despite its low thickness, the air trapped inside provides high insulation properties while allowing it to remain lightweight. It retains its warmth even when wet.

This polyamide fabric that uses 20 denier thread can withstand 20,000 abrasion cycles. Martindale test, Standard 12947-2 Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 1.4 oz/m², 20 denier Lining: 100% polyester fabric 1.2 oz/m², mix of 15 to 20 denier threads
Do you know why the inner lining of your padded jacket is gray?
Because the fabric we use reduces CO2 emissions by 40%. The fabric of this lining is innovative because it mixes a dope-dyed black yarn and an undyed yarn. Compared to a classic dyeing process, this process reduces by: • 66% fine particle emissions (PM2.5) • 74% Eutrophication of fresh water • 68% eutrophication of sea water
Our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint

Water-repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling and keeps it lightweight and warm. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores
What is a pfc-free water-repellent treatment?
Our water-repellent treatment is PFC-free. PFCs are used to make fabric water-repellent; however, they are toxic to the environment and people. By substituting PFCs with other technologies giving the same level of performance, we are reducing the environmental impact.

In general, do not wash a down jacket too frequently because each wash decreases its thermal properties.
How to repair your padded jacket if it has a tear
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when backpacking, and the good news is it can be repaired! You can either mend it or apply a heat-bonded patch so that the tear doesn't get any bigger and the synthetic fibers escape. Don't feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry! Our in-store Decathlon workshops offer a repair service for your padded jackets.
