Love my new tires

Very nice and quiet ride!!

Quality meets the price.

Used it into my hybrid road-bike. Daily night right for my fitness & training . The tire most excellent works on pavement surface where most hybrid bike should be. The very soft tiny square shape rubber thread really do the gripping. Suitable for 60/40(pavement/tarmac) situation. Recommended for daily comfortable ride. Punctures do happens to all good tires, only ways we can reduces the rates by prevention : is the best medicine.

Poor quality tyre

Hi, I am using this tyre for the last two months, it came with my Riverside 500. It is mostly used in London city roads. I had 7 punctures 2 tube changes for both tyres in last month. Most of the time it is caused by shattered glass pieces and carefully removed everything from the tyres. Now I changed to Schwalbe Marathon Plus Bike Tyre

I'm sorry to read that you had so many punctures. As a daily London cycling commuter, the puncture fairy pays me an occasional visit too. Keeping the correct tyre pressure, using self sealing innertubes and in some cases swapping the tyres to tougher (but heavier) ones is also a great option.

How to measure tire wear?

To measure the wear on your tires and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Signs of wear include: - tread starting to fray - the appearance of a series of micro cracks - low tread depth - the frame becomes visible. In all these cases the tire is worn and needs replacing.

How to remove a tire

To remove your tire, first deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out. Once deflated, use a tire lever to remove the tire from the rim.

How to fit a tire

To put the tire back on, place one side of the tire into the bottom of the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tire (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, place the other side of the tire into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tire and the rim.

How to inflate your tire correctly

Inflate your tire carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the side of your tire as well as on its product sheet (available online). Also, before each outing, make sure that your tires are at the correct pressure for your ride.

Tip from the pros

When inflating your tire, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tire pressure to increase the tire's traction. On the other hand, when riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
