Very small fitting and tight in awkward places. A baby not even five months old cannot fit in the one year old size. Very small and would not likely fit with a swim diaper

Great UV suit but it is sized very small. I bought a size 1 for a 3 month old and it was just right.
It is a great UV suite but a warning that it is sized very small. I bought a 24 month size for an average 16 month old and it was too small.

Baby's skin is very sensitive to the sun, because children's defense systems only become effective after the age of 3. For identical exposure, the effects of the sun are 2 to 3 times stronger on a child than on an adult. Therefore, it is important to protect them properly.
What does upf 50+ mean?
UPF is a worldwide standardized sun protection value (Ultra-Violet Protection Factor). It defines the textile's degree of protection, and more precisely, the proportion of transmitted UV rays. It must keep out at least 95% of UV rays to meet the standard. UPF 50+ means that the textile stops at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.
Behavior in the sun?
Although this UV-protection shorty provides protection from the sun, other factors such as reflections (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, and so on, must be taken into account. Wearing this shorty suit does not exempt the wearer from following the relevant advice: wear sunglasses, regularly apply suitable sun cream, wear a hat, stay hydrated, etc.
