Product Customer Reviews

The shoes are excellent, but they have a problem that I also found in another bike shoe purchased from Decathlon. After a few months (8 months in my case) the front part starts to harden and it becomes painful to use them for more than hours. Now I have to buy another pair of shoes
I've been using them for a few weeks and I'm really happy with them. Comfortable, light and easy to put on. I haven't used them in triathlon but only in cyclosport training and I'm really happy with them.
Size small
These shoes should go up in sizes… 12,13,14 as there is a market for it and people who would like to buy these very shoes for personal use.
super comfortable without socks, easy to put on even with a wet foot for drying for a few hours, but that's secondary.
Used without any sock without any problem. The zipper is a good idea but needs better quality (hence the 3 stars). Exchange made in October 2022 after some time of use, the closure jumped. The I feel that it gets stuck again and that it will let go. Damage.
Perfect for quick, comfortable transitions even without socks
I wrote a few months ago that the right shoe opened every two by three, it would surely be a defective item. I went to the store, told them the problem and they refunded me without further ado, which says a lot about Decathlon's good after-sales service. Possibly I will try them again in the store and if they do not open I will buy them again.
Torn zipper...
lack of height on the forefoot (feeling of having the foot compressed between upper and sole after a few kilometers) it was however the van rysel model in which I felt the best when trying on in store
as expected
getting on the bike in transition with these shoes is really easy. Everyone asks me questions about these shoes and is impressed by the possible opening :) on the other hand, the outsole really lacks firmness for my taste (I use next to the sidi carbon sole, the difference is noticeable) But for the price, it makes sense to me.
They are my first cycling shoes so I can't compare too much but overall I feel good in them, to be seen during the next triathlons and especially during the transitions. Only downside, as others have said in their comments: the tongue goes up high on the foot and ends up being painful on long outings on top of the feet. This is why I will not start again on the same term model.
This is my first "triathlon" shoe, but I am very happy with them. It can be put on and taken off quickly, it holds the foot well, it survived one cut without any problems ;) The patent with the tongue unrolling is useful, although in size 45 you have to work hard to lock the tongue in the open position. Thanks to the back loop, I easily secured the shoes in position with a rubber band.
the zipper seems like a good idea at first, except that... it's made of metal, so it oxidizes and rusts quickly, because yes, in triathlons, when you get out of the water, you have wet feet, and when it was at sea, I'm not even talking about it. In addition, the zipper has a small mesh, so a grain of sand, in triathlons it happens, and has damaged the zipper. The seller didn't want to know. The shoe is therefore not suitable for practice.

Why use a triathlon-specific shoe for the cycling leg?
As you know, triathlons consist of 3 disciplines and 2 triathlons. Whatever your race objective, transitions are always stressful. That's why we're offering a triathlon-specific cycling shoe that's easy to pull on and off, while ensuring excellent barefoot comfort, sparing you the effort of putting wet socks on when you come out of the water.
How to choose the right size
Choosing a cycling shoe is similar to choosing a running shoe; we recommend selecting 1 size above your everyday footwear so that your foot is not compressed on use, particularly at the toes. Make sure they're not too big either so that your foot doesn't move around in the shoe. Check that your heel doesn't lift off the shoe once tightened to confirm your choice.
Triathlon cycling leg with or without socks?
That is the question! Putting socks on wet feet during the 1st transition can be difficult, scary as it may be, depending on the distance, to try the cycling leg without socks for fear of discomfort and overheating. The Triathlon Aptonia shoes have a seamless, extra soft inner layer so that you can cycle without socks. This enables a smoother first transition and comfortable cycling.
Are triathlon shoes as effective as road bike shoes?
These triathlon shoes will allow you to manage the 2 transitions effectively and, more importantly, help you to perform the cycling leg as well as possible. In terms of shoe construction, we offer an adjustable instep support system with the ATOP buckle. The nylon sole offers an excellent compromise between comfort and rigidity, while the slipper, made entirely of mesh, is perfectly shaped to your foot and ensures great ventilation.
