Good quality and great price
Good ski jacket. Water and wind proof and kept my husband warm during our first ski holiday.
I went skiing with it and it was the best thing I could buy, super comfortable and warm.
Very warm and well vented insulative jacket. Went skiing sunday loved it, good unrestrictive and well fitted
Vey warm and very comfortable. cuffs prevent snow going up your arms in a fall,
I bought this for everyday urban comfort Inn the cold, wet and windy Scottish winters and it's proven to have been a great choice. Now I have my eye on the Arctic Parka!
Hi Duncan,
We are glad that you found an item which suits your needs, we aim to provide a wide range of products in store. We hope to see you again soon as Decathlon Edinburgh.
Regards,
Teodora, VDS.SPT
Great coat great service
I bought this to go away camping for the weekend when snow and rain was forecast. I didn’t get cold or wet all weekend
This has to be the worst jacket I have even had. It’s not waterproof at all. The 10000mm mebrane must have been forgoton on my jacket. First lift up and short ran down and I was soaked in light rain. I now have to go and purchase another jacket from a local retailer at extortionate prices. It will be getting returned when I get back.
My apologies for the terrible experience you've had with this jacket. I will make sure I will pass along your feedback to our product engineers so they can make sure to improve the product and try to avoid this happening in the future.
For the return, you can either bring it back to your nearest Decathlon store or contact our customer loyalty team: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/contact-us.html
They will be able to assist you.
Thank you,
Tea
Disappointed with the fit - very wide on shoulders and narrow on hips! Made my son look like he was on steroids. Despite being very warm, we had to return it as he looked like an inverted Christmas tree.....
Thank you for your feedback. As we want to avoid anyone else looking like they're on steroids or like an inverted Christmas tree, I will make sure our product managers receive your feedback and work on the fit of this product for next season.
I would recommend trying this jacket for your son: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/slide-500-mens-black-id_8398204.html
The fit is a bit more straight but it won't be as warm as the Slide 700 Warm jacket.
If you have any further questions or feedback, please feel free to call our customer loyalty team.
Have a nice day,
Tea

What type of padding is used to provide warmth?
Recognized for their excellent thermal insulation, down and feathers also offer an excellent ratio of warmth to weight and compression. The warmth comes from the combination of the weight of the down/feathers and the fill power of the jacket. This helps to trap air and insulate you from the cold. (Fill 75% down and 25% feathers in the body, recycled 200 g/m² fill on the shoulders).
Which components added to the fill give it warmth?
In addition to your jacket's lining, the cuffs, snow skirt, waterproof zippers, high collar, and hood adjustments keep the warm air inside and prevent cold air from getting inside.
What is a membrane and what's it for?
The membrane is a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away the perspiration produced by the body. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry.
How is the water resistance of a jacket measured?
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. A component with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 10,000 mm column of water.
Which parts of the jacket protect you from bad weather?
The jacket 900 has been developed with a rigorous component and assembly, which block the passage of water and limit the wind chill factor so that you can better cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To validate its waterproof rating, this jacket was tested under a special shower that replicates the conditions skiers have to face. We validated the waterproofing of this product in the field in various weather conditions for several days.
What is the water-repellent feature of my jacket for?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. This jacket features water-repellent components that extend its weather resistance. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
How can you reactivate the water-repellency of your jacket?
Bear in mind that the water-repellent feature can be reactivated. To do this, you can use a waterproof spray (sold in our stores): Spray the product evenly over the entire garment, then leave it to dry for 10 to 12 hours).
What is a "breathable" jacket?
This garment wicks away the water vapor produced by your body when exercising. To see if a fabric is breathable, its resistance to evaporative heat (RET) is measured in a standardized ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 900 jacket has an RET of 12. However, it's the technical solutions (zippers, vents, mesh) Wedze uses that reduce the condensation inside the garment and maximize breathability.
What is the fit of the 900 jacket?
regular fit. The jacket has sides that fall straight and remain parallel rather than trying to follow the shape of your body. The interior volume means this jacket can be worn in combination with a 1st and 2nd technical layer.
How to dress to stay warm on the slopes?
To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: - Layer 1 or a 2nd skin, to stay dry. - Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. - Layer 3 or a protective layer to protect against the elements. Because the 900 Warm jacket is very warm, we would only advise you to wear it with a 2nd layer in case of extreme cold.
How can you prevent snow from getting in when you fall?
The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press studs at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. The snow skirt (which is automatic), as well as the adjustable cuffs, prevent the entry of snow and drafts during practice and especially in case of a fall.
How to wash your jacket?
* Close all the zippers on the quilted jacket * Turn it inside out * Machine wash 86°F, delicate program with little detergent & without fabric softener. Important: set to a very gently spin cycle (less than 800 rev/min):too strong a spin could create feather balls that are difficult to undo * Put 2 clean, ideally white, tennis balls in the drum of the washing machine. * Perform a 2nd or 3rd rinse cycle to make sure that any washing product that remains from the previous wash has been eliminated
How to dry your jacket?
Dry in a tumble dryer (strongly recommended) * Use a gentle or delicate cycle. * Dry on several long cycles to dry completely. * Between 2 cycles, shake the down to break up the clumps of feathers that form during washing. If you do not have a tumble dryer, the process is longer. (drying can take 1 to 2 weeks on a dry and flat place). Make sure you pat the jacket to avoid feather balls (at least 4-5 times)
Where do the feathers come from?
Our traceability system allows us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are raised for their meat and plucked after slaughter. http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/faq/

Product testing
All Wedze products are conceived, designed, and developed in the Mont Blanc Valley. They are then tested under the same conditions as you would experience in real-life use (snow, cold, powder snow, etc). The design teams make sure that the cycle for which the product is designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.
Storage instructions
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric's water-resistance. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
