Our designers use padding and a special lining to keep the body warm. These polyester-based synthetic components trap more or less air depending on how thick they are. Consequently, the thicker the component (padding or lining), the more air it contains and the more insulating it is.

The resistance of a fabric to water pressure is expressed in terms of the height in mm of a water column that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more the fabric is waterproof. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm column of water. A guarantee of the ski suit's quality.

Put the elastic of the pants over the boot to prevent snow and drafts from getting inside the boot and pants.

To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: Layer 1 or a 2nd skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.

A water-repellent fabric lets water run off its surface, without absorbing it: the fabric does not soak up water and therefore remains lightweight and warm. You can see drops of water beading and running off the surface of the fabric. The water-repellent property is obtained by applying a treatment to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).

To reactivate the water-repellent property, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 86°F and rinse thoroughly. You can use your usual detergent but no fabric softener. Then leave your jacket to air-dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn your garment the right way around and put it in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the water-repellent property of the fabric.

All the sledding products are tested under the real-life conditions for which they are designed: snow, cold, and all the conditions you're likely to encounter when sledding. The design teams, product leaders, engineers, and pattern makers ensure that the program for which the product has been designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.

Preferably store on a hanger, without folding, to avoid damaging the fabric's membrane. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry, well-ventilated place.
