Women's 2-In-1 Ski Jacket 900

The SLIDE 900 jacket was designed to withstand a full day’s skiing in the snow (around 8 hours). To easily cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind...), this jacket has been developed using a component and treatment that prevent water getting in. To check that they are efficiently waterproof and watertight, these pants have been placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier may have to cope with.

Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Slide 900 jacket is equipped with water-repellent components that will prolong its resistance to bad weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible on the ski slopes. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.

The membrane is a very fine component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry.

As well as the waterproof material, taped seams are incorporated to strength the waterproofing of the Slide 900 jacket. These are waterproof adhesive strips fixed to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. All the seams on the product are taped seams. They guarantee complete waterproofing in the snow.

So that skiers feel "neither too hot, nor too cold", the garment must be able to adapt to the body's physical movement and the outside environment. We use wadding for insulation to keep you warm.The wadding is a synthetic material with a polyester base that stores a greater or lesser quantity of air depending on the size of fibers used.There are different types of wadding, including standard, technical and siliconized, which all have different properties (for warmth, lightness and suppleness...)

The cuffs have adjustable velcro tabs that go on or underneath the gloves providing a better seal so that snow or unpleasant cold draughts cannot get in. What's more, given that the cold is a source of irritation, Wedze has added a soft fleece chin guard that protects your face to avoid any risk of neck and chin irritation.

Wearing the right kit on the ski slopes In order to keep warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 3 layers of fabric, each having a particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.

It’s the ski jacket’s ability to allow moisture produced during exercise to escape to the outside, keeping you dry. To find out if a fabric is breathable, its evaporative resistance, called RET (standardized test ISO 11092), is measured. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. This is the garment’s resistance to the wind. The fabric is made windproof by adding a coating or a membrane to the inside. When skiing on the slopes or resting on the ski lifts, protect yourself from the wind to prevent chills and make you as comfortable as possible.

Your ski jacket features cuffs at the wrists. They prevent unpleasant cold draughts and snow from getting inside in the event of a fall.

Wed'ze therefore added a hood to its ski and snowboard jackets, which can be removed with a zip, has a double tightening system and is designed to follow the movements of your head, giving you an unobstructed view of the ski slopes.

This insert made of a soft and very absorbent high-tech fabric effectively wipes water drops from your ski goggles without scratching the lenses.

You no longer need to get your ski pass out because your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.

The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press snaps at the bottom of the ski or snowboard jacket. It prevents snow and cold air seeping in while skiing, especially in the event of a fall.

To optimize your jacket's performance and durability, we advise the following: Machine wash separately at 86°F. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care tag carefully.

We conduct laboratory tests to approve the components: fabrics, zips, drawstrings, tightening systems... Then a test on the finished product with a team of external testers to approve 100% of our products in real-life conditions.

Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Make sure that the garment is completely dry before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
