A word from the product manager
The Carve is our snowboard for women with a good level of experience. It is suitable for groomed slopes, that really does cut corners well and remains very dynamic when passing from edge to edge. Because it's a snowboard, it's also suitable for off-piste.
As the name suggests, the Carve shines on groomed slopes. And it does very well on occasional powder. Its versatility makes it a safe bet for any experienced snowboarder. From blue runs to black, just off-piste or in snow that's badly rutted, the 500 Carve suits a maximum number of people in the widest range of terrain.
The shape of the board is directional, i.e. the board has a nose and tail. It is not symmetric, the tail of the board is slightly narrower than the nose, and the bindings as well as the board's contact points on the snow are slightly set back.
A directional shape offers better grip when cornering, better trajectory management and better recovery when exiting a turn.
A standard camber is curved upwards between the 2 points of contact between board and snow. Thanks to the elasticity of the board, a standard camber acts like a spring to give you grip on all types of snow, pop when switching edges and acceleration on exiting turns.
Medium, versatile flex
The Carve's flex, i.e. the stiffness of the board between the front and rear, is about 3/5, which is average and versatile. It offers predictable handling when cutting corners and is forgiving of edge mistakes.
Versatile and medium torsion
The torsion, i.e. the torsional stiffness of the board between the feet, is about 3/5, which is fairly stiff for good hold in the curves, recovery coming out of a turn and responsive edge transition. This makes the Carve suitable for advanced to expert levels, while remaining very accessible.
10 mm setback
The setback is when the board's compression points with the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the center of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance.
10 mm setback: classic setback of directional boards. It provides better grip in turns and flexibility in powder snow because the weight is on the tail of the board which naturally raises the nose.
front width 279 mm. Center 239 mm. Rear 279 mm (size 146 cm).
Radius 7.8 m.
Effective edge 1,080 mm.
No. of inserts: 8 + 8 (3 possible positions per binding/40 mm between each).
Recommended stance: 500 mm.
Extruded base and high-quality glide
Extruded base (manufacturing process that is different from sintered bases):
- provides a normal glide and good durability over time,
- requires regular maintenance: ideally, wax after every 5 outings and at least once a year,
- either at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide,
- or at the end of the season to nourish the base in depth, leaving it on to protect it throughout the summer. Ideally with the bindings pointing downwards.
Sold as a pack with Illusion "500" bindings
It is an Illusion 700, without the full EVA pad. It has:
- 3D foam ankle strap that hugs the shoe, offering perfect support. The foam provides a tight fastening and keeps feet extremely comfortable.
- front strap in cap strap (position only on the toes) for incredible comfort and support.
- easy Turn Strap opening system so that the strap does not get caught at the opening of the shoe.
146 cm and 151 cm, size M: 36 to 42.
What's the right size Carve for me?
In general, for all-terrain use, go for -15 to -20 cm. (e.g. a girl with a height of 5'4" can take a board that is between 151 and 146 cm in length).
_ Choosing smaller makes things easier. This is also advised for people who are light for their height.
_ Choosing bigger offers greater stability at high speed.
146 cm (88 - 154 lb) => from 5'3" to 5'5"
151 cm (110 - 187 lb) => from 5'4" to 5'7"
146 cm / 151 cm
146 & 151 : 36 to 42
Snowboard & bindings pack

Dry edges at the end of the day to prevent rust. Ideally, wax every 5 outings.\nStoring for the summer: keep away from sunlight, you can leave your bindings on the board.
For good glide performance, wax your board regularly; every two or three trips is ideal. \nAt the end of the season, leave a coat of unscraped wax to protect the base when not in use. This also nourishes the board throughout the summer as the wax penetrates deeper into the polyethylene structure.\nDo not shake off snow by banging your board tip or tail on the ground as this can damage its structure
