I first purchased these pants three years ago after a friend's recommendation. They lasted two seasons until I destroyed them on a glissade. They are stretchy, breathable, light protection and the ankles have crampon patches. Now, for the bad part. And this is an ongoing struggle with Decathlon in the US. THE SIZING, the inconsistent, multiple-sized clothing. So, I ordered a pair in Large. I am sent a pair with a shopping tag that says M/L and the inside tag says it's a US S/M. Please tell me how this makes sense to anyone? They do say to size up, which I did, but a S/M is very different from an L or even a M/L. This is a constant battle with Decathlon because they aren't consistent and there is no reason they should market one size on their website, have a different product tag for in store shopping and yet another different one for inside the pants. Unfortunately, these are not pants that are regularly stocked in SF or Emeryville, so you have to play the game of ordering them and then play a return, exchange, order a new pair.

Like the design, especially the fit, the belt, useful pockets. The lower leg patch feels a bit rough on skin, doesn't go well with ankel socks. The stretchy frabics for the trousers are quite warm (for winter in hk) and rather abrasion resistant, although it gets hairy after a few exposure to rocks and other rough surfaces. The belt seems to need a stronger sewing work as it seems to start falling off. Got it at a higher price :(

They have the right amount of stretch. The cuffs on the inner side of the ankle are hardy when worn with boots. Accessible zippered pockets
