To face bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc), the 580 Slim pants were developed with a water-repellent, windproof component offering good thermal insulation. Given the fit and that it is not lined, we recommend wearing over warm leggings.

The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The SLIM 580 pants are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.

The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapor produced by the body's physical activity to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practicing your sport.

The pants membrane consists of a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry longer.

It is a product that lets the water vapor produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To test the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardized ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zippers, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. SLIM 580 pants RET < 12.

To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. a ski base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain warmth, and ski pants to protect you from the weather conditions.

The pants have elasticated gaiters at the ankles to cover the boots. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.

We know how much energy is expended during a day's skiing or snowboarding. That’s why we take particular care in choosing all the elements that make up our products to guarantee the best possible protection.

To optimize the performance and durability of your pants, we recommend: Machine wash at 86°F. Synthetics cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry-clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care instructions carefully.

The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc). The design teams make sure that the cycle for which the product is designed and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.

Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
