About this item:
- This backpack is made for multiple days hiking or trekking in autonomy. You can carry everything you need to camp, drink and eat on your back with comfort.
- The MT900 SYMBIUM weighs 5.3 lbs and can contain a total volume of 50 liters which we can recommend for a trip over 2 weeks long. The top of the bag is adjustable and can hold an extra 10 liters of volume.
- This backpack has plenty of features if you are looking for a comfortable technical option and complete autonomy at a fair price: SYMBIUM comfort, rain cover, 2 water bottle holders, hiking poles holder, a tent holder, 10 pockets and a compartment for a water bladder for easy hydration.
- The SYMBIUM technology brings the best comfort when carrying your backback as the belt follows the body movements to avoid any loss of balance while hiking.
- This is a men's backpack: This bag has been conceived for a masculine morphology (torso and hips). We recommend to stick to your gender when you choose a bag for comfort purposes when carrying it on your back.

Top! very comfortable and practical, a little long can sometimes bother the head/neck if it is incorrectly adjusted!
Deluxe
Okay...
I'm looking for a versatile bag for a long trip, comfortable and practical. This bag has a good capacity with its large pocket accessible from the front and a few additional pockets/hooks, but unfortunately it is already very heavy when empty, which does not favor its use on treks. Too bad because he's nice
Very comfortable backpack for carrying things. The raincoat is oversized. several mats fit under it. Due to the fashion of large mobiles, the pockets along the waist are small. The loom contains lots of small grips. So far, I've gone on one weekend hike with my backpack. I got food for the children for two days, a shelter, a hammock, a mat, clothes.
Great product, some additional information on how to correctly adjust the bag to our body shape would be nice. I managed to adjust it correctly after 3 days of walking.
Very nice product with reasonable price👍
Great product, recommended for one-day or multi-day treks.
A perfect product in every part, well made and comfortable.
I'm testing it, it's not for me, but the ability to adjust the height is a huge advantage and an effective asset for comfort. Lots of small storage, the quality seems to be there.
The bag's ability to open completely at the front was a real plus for organizing our daughter's bivouac at a scout camp. She was able to access and store her things without any problem.
This bag is quite versatile and above all very comfortable when loaded. The frames of portage really allow maintenance and support. It is therefore very pleasant to walk with.
very good product for a bag of its category, very large useful volume very practical settings for optimal comfort during use. use during a 2 day trek, I did not have any pain in my shoulders or back, I think it is due to the design of the straps which have a cushioning system. very good air circulation between the bag and the back which avoids having a wet t-shirt. the straps above and below allow you to store your tent and mat. the vertical straps on the front of the bag are very useful for hanging a cup, doggie bowl or other small utensil. Very good quality canvas bag.
Practical, ergonomic, I love the color! In short, does the job!
a bit heavy
Additional Product Information
Composition
Main fabric: 100.0% Polyester ; Lining: 100.0% Polyester ; Yoke: 100.0% Polyamide ; Webbing: 100.0% Polypropylene ; Bag cover: 100.0% Polyester ; Coating: 100.0% Polyurethane
Dimensions
Height : 69cm, Width: 43cm, Depth: 35 cm
Capacity
Extendable volume: 50 L + 10 L extension thanks to the bag’s top flap with adjustable height. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method. we use small balls to fill the main compartment as well as each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container in order to determine the equivalent volume in litres, with a margin of error of just a few %.
Bag construction
The assembly of the different parts of this bag has been proven to withstand high tension levels, especially when it is filled or handled. Each element has been designed to guarantee the reliability of the construction: thick front zip (10mm), reinforced seams at the base of the skirt and on the straps.
Symbium technology
The Symbium concept reduces the swinging effects which tire the trekker. This concept is based on the optimisation of the structure of the belt, ensuring that the backpack is better balanced when walking.
How to pack a backpack?
Place your sleeping equipment at the bottom of your backpack. Position your water bag in the compartment provided for this purpose. In the back, place the heavy equipment (tent, stove, food) and position your clothes around it. Your tent or groundsheet can also be placed under the flap or under the bag. Keep your waterproof jacket and warm layer within arm’s reach. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets...)
Timeless styling
We have selected pigment colours and used clean lines for a timeless style that will be passed down from generation to generation.
Why are our rain covers grey?
The colour of our bag covers is neutral as it uses less dye. We also use a “bi-ton” dyeing process where only one thread in every two is dyed. This dyed yarn is also made from a bulk dyeing process which incorporates the colour pigments from the yarn manufacturing phase onwards. Forclaz is committed to improving the environmental impact of its products through these actions.
Dying process
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce the environmental impact, we have opted for mass pigmentation (also called Dope Dye), integrating the colour pigments from initial thread manufacture. This process reduces this backpack’s CO2 emissions by 20% compared to the previous model.
Complementary accessories
Compatible with 2x7L 1/2 moon storage bags. It's important that you are well equipped for your trek to take place in the best conditions. So to complete your equipment and make your MT100 backpack easy to use, check out our storage accessories
Product testing
Several laboratory tests have been carried out to test the resistance of the MT900 Symbium backpack. We have therefore undertaken: a Martindale test which evaluates the abrasion resistance of this backpack, an initiated tear test (seams), a fatigue test on the compression of the foams, a test of resistance to rigidity and bending of the aluminium structure (located at the back of the bag).
Storage instructions
Store your bag in a dry and ventilated place, out of the sun.
