Awesome grip!

Highly recommended. Shoe is well made, comfortable and has an amazing grip. The waterproofing also works as advertised. Excellent value for money. P.s. suggest to buy one size bigger for added comfort.

Worth the price, water resistant as expected

Comfortable for walking and day/short hikes. Used it in light-moderate rain (lasting the whole day) in Japan with no issues.

Excellent Walking Shoes

I have struggled to find a comfy walking shoe and tried all the major brands. The Quechua were my almost my last try. Fit good, maybe a bit on the wide side but fine with walking socks. Excellent price. Will certainly buy Quechua again

Sturdy shoes

Good, sturdy walking shoes. Design and styling is a little disappointing as colour on the sides of the sole of the shoe looks a little cheap and they are a rather oblong in shape. However, for the price compared to my old Salomens then they will do absolutely fine. I’ve worn them for a 5k walk so far and they were comfortable.

Most comfortable walking shoes ever!

I bought these walking shoes back in March 2018 in preparation for a 50km walk I would be doing in the May. I did a number of practice walks in them and they felt light and easy on the feet. The test was the 'walk'. On the 50km walk whilst everyone else was nursing their blisters 3/4 of the way in, my feet still felt great! Since then I wear them on most of my dog walks which is at least 5 times a week (apart from when its wet as they are not particularly waterproof in wet grass - the only down side). I have just completed another 55km walk challenge a year later and they didn't let me down - no blisters and so comfortable!!!

Good shoe for price

Good value, daughter tested it in bush and was waterproof and strong shoe

Happy Hiker.!!!

I bought these as I wanted a change from hiking boots. I am very happy with them and find them really comfortable with good support around the ankle. I had no problem breaking them in as they were fab from day one. Fit perfectly.

So far so good

I was a bit worried about the fit of these when I first bought them. They felt quite rigid and I wondered whether I'd get blisters whenever I did anything more than a couple of miles/hours in them. Thankfully, they're fine and shaping up to be a pair of old friends.

Outsole with grip

The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded this certification, boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip level on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field and in the mountains, using a panel of representative testers over 310 miles

Waterproofing test

In a laboratory, the boot is immersed in water to mid-height on a mechanical arm that simulates a number of steps. With this test we can determine a time and number of miles that the boot can walk while staying dry. - 2000 bends, about 30 minutes of hiking - 10,000 bends, about 3 hours - 30,000 bends, approximately 8 hours - 50,000 bends, approximately 12 hours Then we confirm that the boot keeps its promises in use on the ground and in the rain.

Prolonging waterproofness

To keep your feet dry, we advise you to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter to protect the top of your boots and prevent water and also pebbles and sand from getting in. We advise re-waterproofing your boots twice a year using a re-waterproofing agent (search for ‘waterproofing’ on our Decathlon website), which will help you restore the original water-repellent qualities and help prevent stains on the outside.

Evofit concept

This boot is fitted with the EVOFIT concept. With its stretch materials and specific design for the area of the foot where the joints are located, EVOFIT technology allows the boot to perfectly fit the shape of your foot.

What boot size should i choose?

The most important thing is to try on several sizes and styles of boots to find the one most suited to you! You can take a size above your usual one to prevent the toes from bumping into the toe box when going downhill, provided the foot is properly supported to avoid friction. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before a long descent, check that your lacing is tight enough to prevent your foot from sliding forward inside the boot.

Buying tips / how do you try your boots on?

Certain Decathlon stores have a test route. 1. Try on both boots while standing, with the socks worn for hiking. 2. Tighten the laces, taking care to correctly start the tightening. 3. Check 2 points: - the heel does not come up before the boot when you walk uphill. - the foot does not slide and the toes do not press against the front when going downhill. 4. Try on several sizes and models. Break them in gradually to adapt them to your foot.

How do you avoid blisters?

Which socks?

A waterproof boot will be less breathable than a non-waterproof boot. Socks like the MH500, MH520 and MH900 with a medium upper are therefore preferable for wicking away perspiration and reducing friction.

Optimize the capabilities of your boots: replace your insoles!

The original insole in your boots is designed to accommodate most feet. A change of insole can bring: 1. Improved support: some soles are preformed or reinforced to better support the arch of the foot. 2. More comfort: the insoles can also provide heat and/or cushioning. 3. Longer life: restore the support and comfort of your boots by replacing the insole each season.

How should you look after your boots?

- Leave to air-dry. - Remove dry mud with a stiff brush. - For stains, clean with a brush and a little warm water - Leave to dry - Spray with a re-waterproofing agent to restore the water-repellent properties of the upper.
