Excellent value for a great pair of running shoes

Bought in a sale at the beginning of the year, when I was marathon training. Didn’t have much expectation, and wasn’t keen on the boring blue colour. Bought a half size bigger to allow for feet swelling. Well I’ve run over 1000kms in them, and they still have quite a bit of life in them. They have done me proud, no injuries, no blisters, no holes anywhere and still quite a bit of tread left,. Even at their normal price, I’ve had more wear in them than previous branded shoes I’ve bought

Excellent Product

I strongly recommend this product

Very Squeaky

I'm a neutral runner and run around 30-35 miles per week. The shoes are fine - a little less roll/propulsion than I might like, but nothing to complain about. My problem with the shoes is that the hard plastic part in the mid-sole has started to squeak, on each foot strike (started at around 100 miles). On both feet. Can be overcome with loud music, but is pretty annoying and as a result I would not buy these again.

Not good for me

These shoes are supposed to be good for a mid to long run. I have run a max of 5 miles in these on each run and find that they make the balls of feet sore and even blister and I’ve only done a total of 80 miles in them.

Very comfortable

I bought last year's model in the sales as an impulse purchase, after liking the look of them and trying them on in store. They're really comfortable, probably even more so than my main shoe, the Brooks Adrenaline. I have narrow feet and overpronate. I use superfeet insoles in all my running shoes, including these. I've run probably 150 miles in them so far. I tend to use them for runs up to 10 miles, though that's simply because I prefer to wear my adrenalines for longer runs as they're specifically for over pronators. I'm sure they'd be fine over 10 miles though. The grip felt a bit off at 1st but improved after a bit of use. I'll be keeping an eye in the sales later in the year for another bargain, though you can't really complain at the current price.

Great shoes for rapid long distance walking

Good firm and comfortable grip around ankle and excellent sole design that reduces ankle pain even on long walks.

Hello Ranu,

I am extremely sorry for the bad experience with the Kiprun Long Running shoes. I completely understand your discomfort and for us, user satisfaction is more important than anything else.

We recommend these shoes for a marathon and till now we haven't got any complaints. I am very sorry that it happened to your shoes. We give 2 years warranty on all products, which means that we stand by the quality of our products. Nevertheless, I see that you have a quality issue for which I invite you to any of our Decathlon stores to have it exchanged for a product that best suits your requirements. Our sales advisors will be happy to help you out with the same.

I'll stay available in case of any concerns.

Worth price

Good Arch support

I needed arch support for my flat feet. These shoes are really expensive at Rs.5,499. But the ARKSTAB (great name btw) is so comfortable! I use these as my daily-wear shoes, I haven't tried running in them.

Good cushioning and support

Bought these shoes for my mother who is a 71 year old avid walker. She finds it comfortable for even long walks (~10km). The mesh is breathable and keeps the feet well ventilated. A tad expensive compared to the others in the collection but seems worth it.

I was looking for running shoes for distances of around 10-15 K, and the person in the running department convinced me to buy these and said he'd run several marathons in them. He also said these shoes support over-pronation and all other stride types for that matter, and that the special cushioning supports the knees. I tested the shoes on the in-store treadmill for a few minutes and they seemed okay. But I was wrong. They don't provide enough support for longer durations. I've done 5 runs in them, and the experience has been painful. Foot arc pain (in spite of the ArkStab support), shin splints, heel pain, and ankle pain during and after the runs. It felt like there was no cushioning or support whatsoever, and no flexibility in the front of the shoe. Also, the shoe is quite heavy once you hit longer distances and it feels like you are supporting the weight of the shoe instead of vice versa. I felt this on the first two runs itself, and did a couple others just to make sure it was indeed the shoe. And this happened every time I used the shoe. Disappointed, as this is one of the more expensive shoes in Decathlons running range, and I bought it only at the insistence of the person in the running department that these shoes were supportive based on his experience. I've been a long-time Decathlon customer, and would always recommend their products, but this one is the rare exception.

Very happy so far

I've had these for a month now, and done various road runs of 60-100mins. I find them comfy and no problems as yet. I take a size 39 in normal shoes but always go with size 40 for running so chose size 40 again. Before this I had to return a non-Decathlon pair for being too narrow so was pleased to find some that feel right as I like space around my toes.

New features of the kiprun long 2

In 2020, we have improved the KIPRUN FAST 2 based on your feedback over the last 2 years: - The forefoot has been improved for more comfort in the arch - New rubber on the outer sole to improve grip by over 37%

The importance of the cushioning

To give you optimal comfort and performance when running, we concentrated our attention on the sole, which features 2 concepts: - K-Ring: a ring located in the heel to improve cushioning at the rear and spread the shock wave in order to provide effective protection for the body: joints, back, knees, etc. - Kalensole: improves cushioning by 34% and energy return by 25% when compared with conventional foam and lasts up to 1,000 km (620 miles).

Did you say stable?

A stable shoe that facilitates the roll-through of the foot and reduces the effort needed to control the foot and the heel for a more relaxed foot motion. We have increased the surface supporting the foot and added reinforcement at the back of the heel.

The comfort of the kiprun long 2

In order to run regularly over long distances, foot comfort is of the utmost importance. We have therefore sought to improve the level of comfort with the following: - a new collar at the back of the shoe ensuring excellent heel support and ideal softness. - a preformed sole made of open-cell PU (polyurethane) foam. - a reworked forefoot area for more comfort. - a single seamless piece of fabric to reduce friction.

Suited to all types of strides

With the exclusive K-ONLY technology and denser foam located under the first metatarsal, you no longer need to know your stride type: over-pronator, under-pronator or neutral)! A 6-month study conducted with the Luxembourg Institute of Health* showed that the K-Only concept suits all strides. The key figures of the study: - 372 runners - over 12,558 training sessions - 12,094 hours of running - 116,723 km (72,528 miles) covered

Excellent road-holding ability on wet asphalt and curves

Our sole is designed like a car tire for running performance without losing control in wet conditions. The new geometry of the sole combined with a new rubber component provides the KIPRUN LONG2 with excellent grip on wet terrain, even at top speed.

Drop 10 mm

The height difference between the back and front of the sole is 10 mm.
