Worst performance

I am writing this review after 2 years of extremely light usage. My wife used this shoes hardly 30-40 days in last 2 years, mostly for light walks and weekend casual outings. A month back the both the soles started coming out. Basically the glue effect is gone. The icing on the cake was that the Decathlon Salesman at Noida store told me it's quite common and nothing can be done. He suggested to go to a local shop and apply local glues! This is is second time same experience with Decathlon shoes. My own Forclaz 500 soles came out on my 4th trek on the 2nd day! Imagine on a 5 day Himalayan trek, that too in winter, sole coming out on 2nd day! I only know how I managed on the other 3days in last Dec. So Thanks, not coming back again!

Hello Sir,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us,

We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused, and the pasting coming out is not common, it happens because of 3 reasons. 1. The glue quality is not good which we consider as defective and we replace the shoe. 2. If the shoe is not used for a long time the glue starts to depreciate and the pasting comes out. 3. Rough usage, without taking proper care of the shoes.

So requesting you to please share a few images of the shoe & the date of purchase, we will check & get back to you with the best possible solution.

We are always available to help you with your concern.

Good service and excellent shoe quality.

Good Afternoon Emad,

Thank you for spending your time to give us a positive review of these running trainers, It's greatly appreciated.

Great First Time Experience

I love how cheap the prices are, how accommodating and friendly the staffs are, and how the products are all displayed so there's no need to ask for assistance for a specific size needed.

Worth the price

Although I haven't tried the shoes outdoors, it works well on the thread mill. It seems to be a bit tight for me in terms of width considering I had no problems with other brands. I'm not sure if there's any other padding on the side or the shoes is just narrow for my feet. So I purposely just loosen the shoestrings as I don't think it would snag on the thread mill (but I'm not too confident if I use it on the road). There is also a weird catch on my right toe when I land on fore-foot. I'm not sure again if it's just me or this particular shoe but I haven't had similar problems with other popular brands.Other than that, I'm fine using this for training runs and hope to try it out on the road.

Why are the run active grip shoes specially designed for running?

When you run, the shock wave generated by each impact with the ground corresponds to approximately 3 times your weight. This wave runs from the heel to the top of the spinal column. Your joints act as shock absorbers, but are also severely put to the test. Choosing a good pair of running shoes is therefore essential for absorbing shocks and dispersing vibrations.

What are the cushioning features of the run active grip shoe?

EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl acetate) foam, which is both lightweight and offers good shock absorbing properties. Due to its position at the heel and its special shape, the CS (Circular System) technology optimizes shock absorption.

Why is grip so important on trails?

Grip is an important feature for running on trails and paths. So it is important to choose a shoe with a lugged outsole that provides superior grip.

How to choose the right size for your running shoe

Choose 1 size bigger than your usual size to ensure optimum comfort in your RUN CUSHION GRIP shoes. There should be 0.4" between your toe and the end of your shoe, as your feet swell during exercise.

Which sizes are available?

From US 5.5 to 10.5 (EU 36 to 42)

How much does a run active grip shoe weigh?

9 oz in size US W 8 / EU 39

What is the drop of a run active grip shoe?

'Drop' is the difference between the height of the back (heel) and front (forefoot) of the shoe. There is a 10 mm height difference between the front and back of the sole.

How do i care for my run active grip shoes?

Do not machine wash your shoes, as this can damage their physical properties, leading to detachment, shrinkage or tearing of the mesh at the top of the foot. We therefore recommend that, when they are very dirty (muddy), you wash them with soapy water and a little synthetic brush. Above all, do not use bleach! Rinse with fresh water. When drying your shoes, keep them away from any heat source.

What are the benefits of running?

Running will enable you to: 1. get some fresh air 2. look after your body 3. develop your muscles gradually 4. maintain or lose weight 5. improve the health of your bones
